The Corner House is a charming Grade II listed four-bedroom period property in the centre of Shipston on Stour, dating back to the early 19th Century. It has been renovated to a high standard and is beautifully decorated throughout. The house has 3 floors and its layout is perfect for couples, families or groups. On the ground floor there is an elegant family dining room with wooden floor and period features. Opposite is a relaxing and cosy lounge with sumptuous velvet sofas and 32inch television with built in DVD. A large fully equipped kitchen with informal dining area is situated to the rear of the property with a shower room and toilet leading off. A handy utility room leads to a small sunny courtyard with table and chairs. On the 1st floor there is a large luxurious family bathroom with a bath and walk in shower. Bedroom 1 is a romantic large double-bedded room with dual aspect windows. Bedroom 2 is an elegant twin bedded room furnished with period pieces. Bedroom 3 is of smaller proportions and furnished with a pretty, single daybed with pull out trundle beneath. The optional pull out trundle is suitable for a child (see image gallery) due to its smaller proportions (standard length, small single width) . On the 2nd floor there is a large (height restricted in places) open plan attic with a double bed and seating area and luxury wash facilities. It has pleasant dual aspect views of the church tower and roofscape towards the Cotswold countryside. The spacious room has an elegant slipper bath and hand basin (note no wc). The house was built around 1820, and typical of a property of this period it has many quirky features including some height restricted ceilings and doors. Many original features have been retained and the house provides a truly exceptional base for a short break or longer stay.

These are all within just a few minutes walk of the property. Shipston is a thriving historic market town, named as The Best Place to Live in The Midlands, 2017 (Sunday Times). Shipston is approximately 9 miles from Stratford upon Avon, on the edge of the Cotswolds. There is plenty of free parking available throughout the town. There are several free unreserved parking spaces directly alongside the house, subject to availability. Alternatively the nearest free car park is just a short stroll away. The property offers guests the best of both worlds; amenities within walking distance yet just a short drive from Stratford Upon Avon and the many beautiful Cotswolds villages and historic attractions.
