My wife and I bought this Maine Camp when we iI graduated form the U of Maine. We are the original owners as it was never lived in and not completed when we bought it.We have a lot of great memories here at Sebago Breezen' as we have lived here twice year round and used it every summer no matter where we have lived over the years. We glassed in the front porch a few years back and like the fact you can sit there and look at the trees and no on knows you are there.Later on we added the back deck.It still has the knotty pine which is also called pic-wick pine.My wife was a nurse and I work in Education and a few other things over the years. We hope you enjoy our little slice of' Maine. And as they say "The Way Life should be"
Sid purchased this Cottage in 1979
Why Sid chose Baldwin
It is on the slower side of the lake which has not changed all that much in Fifty years. But yet close to all Maine has to offer in and around Portland...We are also close to New Hampshire if you want to do a day trip there. Cozy with all the items you could want minus a little technology can do a soul good. There is Boat rental down the street. Long Beach Marina....Please tell Sam and Jan we sent you. Of course Jordan's store also within walking distance and thay have the best hand cut meats. Tell the owners Carol...Barbara...Greg and Jeff we sent you and I am sure thay will have something smart to say.. :)A new restaurant with outdoor seating is also with in walking distance.. A dairy bar a short drive towards Naples and also a nice golf course in Naples.Look in our book for more day trip ideas and some of our Favorites and OH don't for get Freeport and LL Bean... Or just chill in the Door yard as we say and have a cook out with some awesome Jordan hot dogs and hand cut steaks for Jordan's store.
What makes this Cottage unique
Not much left to say it's a cozy Maine Camp in a great neighborhood with wonderful people who will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Enjoy Sid /Keegan and the late Barbara J. who used to say so often it's all about the memories we make and we as a family have made a lot here in Sebago.

Perfect quiet getaway
This was our first visit to the Sebago Lake area. Sid was very accommodating. He offered good suggestions for the area. The cottage is located in a peaceful setting & location was perfect for us to explore surrounding towns.
The state park beach was gorgeous with warm weather & fall colors ablaze. Thank again Sid for letting us rent the cottage. We hope to return again!
So glad you enjoyed my camp. Thanks Again...Sid
Peace and quiet in a beautiful setting
This is a great little property in a quiet neighborhood, just a block or so from Sebago lake. It's rustic but comfortable, and has everything you would need to cook your own meals (especially if you want to steam some lobster - I think there are 3 different sized lobster pots in the kitchen). The bed was very comfortable (which is a lot more than I can say for some hotels), and there are fans to circulate air throughout - we stayed in the first week of August and it was totally comfortable without any AC necessary. There's a public beach with a swimming area a few miles down the road, and a little general store (with a surprisingly impressive selection of liquor and beer) within walking distance. There's also a state park nearby with publicly accessible beaches, which we didn't have time to explore, but it looked really lovely. Sid was a wonderful host! He has two kayaks, and went above and beyond in bringing us (and the kayaks) to a nearby pond for an afternoon of fishing. Portland is about half an hour away, an easy drive down 114. We also chartered a fishing trip on Sebago, and caught about 20 huge lake trout. This is a great vacation spot!
A memorable first trip to Maine.
I have been debating whether to give this rental a four or five since we returned home. Let's get that out of the way first. I'm a fairly large person at 6' 2" and 220 lbs. The shower was, as simply as I can put it, a tight fit for me. It was pretty good otherwise, just small. The other thing was having to provide our own bed sheets and towels. This wouldn't be much of a concern if one were driving to the rental, but flying in to Portland and bringing these items along left a shortage of baggage space.
Now to the good stuff. Sid's camp is definitely on the right side of Sebago Lake, sitting in a quiet neighborhood just across the road from the lake. It was an easy drive from the Portland airport with many interesting sights to view along the way. Highway 114, which separates the camp from the lake, is your main road to connect with highways leading to other parts of Maine you may want to visit. We used 114 almost every day.
The camp itself is very comfortable with plenty of seating for the two of us. You could probably accommodate up to six people without much trouble. The kitchen was more than adequate for our needs. With two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa, the sleeping situation is more than taken care of. The deck off the back of the camp was a relaxing place to enjoy our coffee in the morning and a cocktail at the end of the day. The back yard is spacious, and the drive way would easily handle two or three vehicles.
The neighborhood contains two jewels that I would be remiss not mentioning, O.Dan's Pub and Jordan's Store. Jordan's Store is similar to one I worked at 45 years ago. A small produce section, wonderful meat and deli section, a dairy section, soda, mixers, beer wine and liquor, whatever you need. They even have a pizza oven! The Patriots played on Sunday while we were visiting, and the pizzas were flying out the door! If you forgot it, check Jordan's. They probably have it. Then there's O.Dan's Pub. A HUGE list of local microbrews, and some of the best food we have eaten ANYWHERE! Those maple-glazed wings and sautéed brussels sprouts were just that, appetizers leading to the just-as-delicious entrees! A must-stop for anyone who is in the area.
In conclusion, we enjoyed the camp so much that we are considering going back next year, even if it's just for a long weekend. Thank you, Sid, for sharing your Sebago Lake Camp with us. We had a wonderful time!
My family stayed at this cottage on Labor Day weekend. It was such a cozy cottage in a spectacular setting. Everything was neat and tidy and my kids loved the games and movies that Sid provided during our stay. We will 100% stay here again next year.
The camp was satisfactorily furnished with what we needed for the week. Shower was very small, but adequate. Would have liked to have access to more window fans since it was so hot that week. Found VCR tapes to watch in cabinet below living room TV that entertained my boys. Water equipment to use was a big asset. Sid was very friendly and nearby if anything was needed. Would definitely stay here again!
Glad you had a nice week.I will get another fan..Thanks Sid
