About Christine Olley
I grew up in Goring on Thames, and then moved to London and subsequently Athens. In 1974 I established my home in France, and have lived here since, but I still love England and come home frequently!
Christine Olley purchased this Apartment in 2011
Why Christine Olley chose Falmouth
My husband grew up just three miles from Falmouth, and we are lucky enough to have friends and family in the area. It is so wonderful to be able to look out of the window and see the sea, little boats bobbing about on the water. In the town, there is fantastic local enthusiasm for traditional music and customs, and at the same time it's a university town, lots of lively venues for the students.
What makes this Apartment unique
Horizons is such an original place, with the split-level living/sleeping areas, not just a flat, not quite a house, with its stable door and vaulted ceiling. On leaving the property, you can choose to go up the steps to Harbour Terrace, or down others to the High Street, the car is safely parked in the covered garage, you can go everywhere in town on foot. A great position in the town
Nice and clean but the matresses have come to the end of their useful lives!
Thank you for your review, I'm sorry to hear that you found the mattresses a little old. I changed them last in November 2015, and they are a well-known reliable brand, but I will enquire to see if other guests have noticed this problem, and if necessary, they will be changed again.
Kind regards, Christine
Lovely flat with all the facilities needed, car parking very useful too.
Excellent Location, very clean and well equipped. Faultless.
Long Weekend 22-26 March 2018
If anything the property was better than described. Very well valeted - five stars to the cleaning crew! Being Falmouth steps or slopes had to be negotiated for access from the road but this was fully described to us by the owner before we booked and was no problem. For unloading the car it was a single flight of steps. Only to be expected as, after all, one thing Falmouth is not is flat!
Being early spring the heating was on when we arrived. A welcome bottle of wine and some buns completed the welcome.
Everything required for a perfect stay was provided.
Have no problem in recommending this property to friends and relations and would certainly look to re-book for any future visits to the area.
