The Cottage is a quaint and charming property situated in the heart of the Luberon National Park. Traditional but with a contemporary twist: a home from home we hope! It is 5 minutes walk from the peaceful perched village of Joucas, and five kms from the famous village of Gordes. A stay here will give you easy access to, but seclusion from, some of the better known perched villages of Roussillion, Bonnieux, and Menerbes. It is set in beautiful Provencal countryside and offers stunning views of the Luberon mountains. If you want an active holiday there is cycling and walking galore - or simply sit and sip an expresso or a rose at a pavement café or relax by your very own private pool in the garden.

About Nick & Rosemary Allan
My wife Rosemary and I spent over 20 years working for the British Civil Service. We have always wanted to live in this beautiful part of France, so in 2011 we 'retired' early, sold our house in London and moved to Provence. We have not regretted the move for a single second! We love the running Mas de Rosemarie and hoe we have created a home from home! And the Luberon is stuffed full of things to do and see as well as being a tranquil haven in which to unwind. We look forward to welcoming you here!

Delightful accommodation in Provence
The Cottage at Le Das De Rosemarie was a very comfortable home away from home for our (2 couples) 5 days in Provence; an easy drive from the Avignon TGV. The Cottage provided a peaceful, relaxing and private place to begin and end our days spent exploring the region. The Cotes du Rhone wine region and the hill towns of the Luberon region were easy drives and rewarded us with a lot to see and experience. The charming town of nearby Joucas was an easy walk, especially for fresh bread and pastries each morning. Nick and Rosemary have done a fabulous job furnishing the property with tasteful decor finishes, quality linens, other accessories along with detailed area information. Beautifully landscaped also! I would highly recommend choosing The Cottage at Le Das De Rosemarie; you will not be disappointed!
Many thanks Bill for such a detailed and helpful review - it was a pleasure meeting you! Very glad you had a good time and enjoyed the region. You would of course be welcome back at any time. Maybe to the Mas the next time! :)

Very good property and owners
The property was very beautiful and had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. Its in a great location in Provence and an easy walk to the local village of Joucas. Nick and Rosemarie were very helpful in explaining the property and the surrounding area. They were also very helpful during our stay at the property.
Stylish Provencal cottage - not a doily in sight!
We stayed in the Cottage for 3 weeks and loved it. This is the most thoughtful, tasteful renovation capturing the essence of Provence but without an ounce of twee! Any tiny problem disappeared the minute we let Nick and Rosemary know and whilst Nick was available if needed he remained was otherwise subtly in the back ground. We mentioned a frayed iron cord just so he was aware and the next time we pulled out the iron it had been replaced. This is a lovely cottage with wonderful, helpful owners and perfectly located being close to so many beautiful Provencal villages. The photos, just for the record, are a perfect representation of the house. Our stay was a total pleasure.
The perfect base for the perfect week
This was our first family holiday to explore the region and we had three generations to cater for so came with a broad set of needs for which the chosen accommodation needed to cater. The Cottage turned out to be a fantastic choice for us and exceeded expectations in meeting the needs of kids, parents and grandmother.
Joucas is a charming little village that is close to all the Luberon hot spots but provides a peaceful retreat when the August crowds elsewhere get overwhelming. Some of our favourite moments were spent wandering up the road for a quiet coffee at La Terrasse. The little ones loved the pool, games and upstairs kids' hideout. The oldies loved the well-equipped kitchen, outdoor dining and comprehensive restaurant and market recommendations.
The Cottage is very well presented and private, despite the proximity to the other houses on the property. Nick and Rosemary were helpful and available without being intrusive. Overall, a great spot that we feel lucky to have found.
Exceptional accommodation in the perfect location
The photos don't do the property or surrounding area justice. The accommodation is 5 star, beautifully decorated and such a warm welcome. Any problems, the owners are available if needed but you are left alone to relax and enjoy your holiday. Although one of 4 properties on the same site, privacy has been thought of and we didn't hear any of the other people. It really is a gem of a place and we intend to return some day.
Lyn and Martin - It was a great pleasure to have met you both and we are delighted that you had a good stay with us. You definitely win the prize for leaving the house in the most tip top condition ever!!! Thanks! We hope to see you again sometime.

So Great We Came Back!
We stayed at the Cottage for two weeks in Fall 2014 and liked is so much we came back for another two weeks this Fall. The house is very charming, with a lovely living room that opens onto a covered terrace in the beautiful garden, with view towards vineyards and the Luberon National Park. The bathrooms are excellent, the beds very comfortable, with fine linens. We learned during our first stay that the area is filled with interesting and beautiful villages, not to mention the very small village of Joucas. It's an easy walk through vineyards to the cafe La Terrasse, with its terrace to enjoy a morning cafe or a drink in the evening overlooking the valley and views of Roussillon's red cliffs. The epicierie carries staples, which in France includes fresh croissants and locally made goat cheese. The village is home to the artists Mieke Heybroek and Ulysse Plaud, who have a beautiful gallery there and have filled the village streets with very interesting wood and stone sculptures. We enjoyed lunches out at wonderful restaurants as close as Gordes and as far away (50 km) as Gigondas--another village filled with sculpture, as well as great wine. There are probably 20 picturesque villages and markets within 25 km of the property. Rosemary and Nick are wonderful hosts and are available to resolve any issues that might arise during your stay. They also provide a welcome guide with very helpful information, including restaurant recommendations, not to mention wine on arrival along with delicious crackers and local olive oil. We shall return!
Situated in the heart of the Luberon, Le Mas de Rosemarie is a hamlet of four houses, a mere stone’s throw from the idyllic and peaceful village of Joucas, and five kilometre from the famous hilltop village of Gordes.
A stay here will give you easy access to, but seclusion from, some of the better known hilltop villages of Roussillion, Bonnieux and Lacoste. We are conveniently located between Avignon and Marseille. Aix en Provence is 45 minutes by car. Lourmarin is about 30 minutes away.
