Our delightfully refurbished Welsh stone cart shed, Tilley's Cottage, provides very comfortable accommodation to the visit wales Four Star standard. Set in a peaceful rural location, the Cottage enjoys stunning sea & countryside views and spectacular sunsets. There are breathtaking countryside and coastal walks on your doorstep, as well as quick and easy access to two beautiful beaches. The area around Tilley's Cottage is a stunning mix of countryside and coastline. Access to the coast path is a mile away. The coastal walkers' bus service (from right outside the cottage gate) can be used to get to a start point and walk back without you having to use your car. There are two good pubs within half an hours walk from the cottage - The Sloop at Porthgain and The Ship Inn at Trefin. Porthgain is a pretty harbour village - once a thriving industrial area, it now has two interesting art galleries and an award-winning restaurant (as well as the pub). Two miles from Tilley's is Abereiddy beach - with toilet facilities, pay parking and a refreshments van selling locally produced food (open Easter to October half term). Right next to Abereiddy is the famous 'blue lagoon' where the Red Bull British Cliff Diving Championships were held in 2012, 2013 & 2016. St Davids with its magnificent cathedral, tourist information centre and a range of good quality cafes, pubs and restaurants is a fifteen minute drive away. Whitesands beach near St David's and Newgale beach are also popular choices for visitors - these have all facilities and are both great for surfing.

About Ruth Woodage
When we moved here from the New Forest, the cottage had already been renovated and was being run as a holiday let. We were very pleased that this beautiful holiday cottage was part of our property and over the years we have gradually made various changes and improvements to make it more of a home from home. It is regularly used by friends and family who enjoy visiting the area, as well as providing tourist accommodation.
Ruth Woodage purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Ruth Woodage chose Saint David's
We loved the wild nature of the North Pembrokeshire coast. It feels remote here - yet after a few minutes in the car you can be at a pub, restaurant, cafe or gallery. The choice of walks is amazing - coastal, countryside or woodland - they are all on the doorstep!
What makes this Cottage unique
Tilley's Cottage has loads of character, with the thick stone walls keeping it cool in summer and cosy in winter; and whatever time of year you stay, if it's clear enough for a sunset - you won't miss it!

A lovely, cosy cottage in a good location.
We were able to enjoy some lovely walks on beaches due to the unexpectedly good weather. The cottage is well equipped and Ruth is welcoming and friendly whilst respecting privacy. The sunsets are spectacular! We both felt refreshed and relaxed after our stay.
Thanks very much for your review - glad that you enjoyed staying at the cottage and exploring Pembrokeshire.
Lovely, cozy cottage
Absolutely love this little cottage. It is clean and super cozy! Kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need. Loved the ability to make a fire in the fireplace. The views of the countryside are lovely, including the beautiful sunset on our final night. If we come back to St. David's, we'd absolutely stay here again. Thank you for the wonderful time.
Many thanks for your review - it's much appreciated.

Beautiful mix of beach and country
Ruth provided a fantastic cottage with everything we could have asked for (and more). Plenty of room, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, delightful bath after a long days walk and that kitchen view is to die for! We had stunning weather so the surrounding towns and beaches were fabulous as were the locals tips (great fish and chips down at The Shed)! Our family of four adults loved every minute and Ruth was such a lovely host! We only wished for a teeny bit of cool weather to use the wood heater in the cottage as it looked so inviting but a must stay at any time of the year. Thanks Ruth

Lovely place to stay
We had a fab week staying at Tilley's Cottage- great location for St David's, beaches and coastal path- the view from the cottage garden was great and we enjoyed bbqs & watching beautiful sunsets every night- the cottage had everthing for a comfy stay , good powerful shower for after beach and bike rides, and a log burner in the lounge which we didn't get to use as the weather was absolutely glorious the entire week.
