A very clean and well equipped cottage containing all modern appliances which I didn’t expect from a holiday let, it’s just a short walk from the village, there is a railway line close by and a busy road but we soon got used to that , we would definitely stay there again.
Well located cottage and ver spacious living area
This cottage is perfect for those wanting to hike in the hills but is well located for train travel to Sheffield and Manchester.
amazing as always
just perfect - we love what is turning out to be annual stays at willow cottage - it just couldn't be better.
So pleased you enjoyed your stay.We will endevour to maintain our standards and hope to welcome you back in the future.
Short break at Hillfoot cottages
Cottage was In good condition, very clean with comfortable beds . the kitchen was well equipped and the surroundings of the Peak District were beautiful with lots of things to do. Take care coming out onto a road with fast bicycles and traffic rushing by.. Behind is the railway line also fast, but we quickly got completely used to that as trains were fast and short! Delicious farm Hope Valley ice cream at the farm next door if you can face the bumpy, rather long track! Calves and cows being milked and childrens' play area,
Cosy yet very modern and well equipped
Excellent, very comfortable facilities and well positioned for exploring the lovely area of Derbyshire. The only drawback for some might be the closeness to the busy main road, but that does also mean easy access to all points of the surrounding area, so its a matter of weighing up priorities. We stayed during the heatwave so had to open windows to breathe (though a fan was supplied), so road noise was more apparent than might have been otherwise. For us, it didn't diminish the enjoyment of our stay, and we hope to stay again to enjoy the beauty of the area.
A lovely cottage with everything you could need
Willow cottage suited me perfectly, cosy and very comfortable with a super laundry room next door. I didn't have a car but managed fine without, there is a bus stop outside the property and it is only a 15 minute walk to Hathersage where is there is a train station. So many lovely walks to explore, public footpaths everywhere, I would like to return in the spring/summer to see the area in its full glory!
