This is an idyllic location - one could spend the whole time just watching Paradise Beck, Hebden Ghyll and the wildlife but there are plenty of lovely walks from the door. Great bakery in Grassington and superb butcher in Threshfield. The chef in the local pub has won many awards.
a lovely cosy rural retreat
we had a wonderful stay in a very well equipped cottage in an idyllic location.
A wonderful cosy cottage with stunning views in a beautiful location!
Mamie’s Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the stunning Yorkshire countryside. Fiona was very helpful & the cottage was clean and had everything that you would need in a home from home! We enjoyed using the wood burner and particularly liked admiring the view from the back garden and the local wildlife (including visits from two friendly pheasants!) We had very good meals at the local pub The Clarendon Hotel (which was a walkable distance from the cottage) and The Red Lion at Burnsall. Our favourite walks were along the river to Grassington and also along the river to Burnsall via the Hebden Suspension Bridge. The Scale Haw Force waterfall on Hebden Beck (near to the cottage) is also a must see. All in all a wonderful stay!
Exceptional Cottage and owner who has really thought of everything you would need for a holiday Cottage to really work well for everyone. We were 5 adults staying in Mamies Cottage for four nights. Faultless very clear instructions of how to find the Cottage. So pleased to have found a Cottage that slept 5 adults in spacious bedrooms and excellent beds. Very comfortable lounge. Fabulous position quiet but walkable distance to local pub and lovely tea rooms. Easy parking. Exceeded my already high expectations. We will go back.
Thank you Alison for coming to stay in Mamie's and also for leaving such a great review. So glad Mamie's suited you all so well and you loved the place as much as we do. It was great to meet you and we would love you to come back and stay at any time. Many thanks, Fiona and family
Excellent cottage in a great location
Beautiful setting you cannot beat the veiw from the table watching the stream and all the animals. Leaving some bread out soon had pheasants and a squirrel coming right up to the window.
An ideal site for exploring the area we had great walks at Malam cove and grassington. Walk down to the local pub in the early evening was well worth it food was very good with plenty of game on the menu they also did fish and chips to take away.. a trip to the village tea room also went down a treat great cream tea..
Great cottage in stunning scenic Hebden
We stayed for two nights - lovely warm cottage with plenty of space and great facilities. Just sitting and watching the wildlife at the window a real pleasure. Fiona ensured we enjoyed our stay. Great walks and pub/restaurant nearby. Would recommend
We are happy to collect guests from Grassington or Hebden bus stops if arranged in advance.

5 minutes in the car to Grassington with a wide selection of shops, cafes and pubs
It's 20 minutes to Skipton, 30 mins to Harrogate and just over an hour to York or Leeds.
