About Chuck Brazik

We own two homes on the island Moondance and Stardance along with some friends. We are on the island as much as possible.

Chuck Brazik purchased this house in 2005

Why Chuck Brazik chose Lee County

We love the quiet, fishing, kayaking and generally relaxing on the island. We live in Gulf Harbour on the mainland when we are not on the island.

What makes this house unique

We stay in both homes so we make sure that they are ready for you and us. Stardance has big porches with beautiful views of the Pine Island Sound. Moondance is larger and great for when our families come to the island.

Serene beautiful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful time we had at Stardance! We really lucked out with the weather (high 70s six days in a row), and the island was really magical. I loved how remote the house was north of the landing strip. We had two families of 4 with kids ranging from 4-8 years old. The kids got to explore a bit on their own and we saw so much wildlife (dolphins, manatees, turtles, and tons of birds). The few planes coming in and out were also incredible, especially from the crow's nest, which also provided us with access to sunrises and sunsets! The house was everything we needed and Charlie and Suzanne were really on top of a few things that needed fixing after the previous guests. It was seamless and didn't disrupt any of our plans. As well, the trip from Fort Myers to the water taxi to the island was a piece of cake. I was a little nervous about all of the logistics needed regarding transportation, groceries, etc., but the local businesses operated like a well oiled machine, and Charlie and Suzanne provided us with lots of good information. Thank you for an amazing vacation spot our family will never forget!

Great house and even better views!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great. We had a glitch because I booked the wrong ferry - completely my fault! The house was even better than we expected. The view was amazing. The sunrise from the porch was perfect. The power went out while we were there and the homeowner offered us another house - going above and beyond. The power outage was not his fault. Having two golf carts was really important to us and they worked really well. The roads on the island are rough but it appeared they were working on them. Hated to leave!!!

Nothing short of Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

This home is in the perfect location, being that its not ocean front. You have amazing views from the main living level and you can step outside to enjoy the widows peek (top deck) for a 360 view of the whole island! We got to experience an amazing dolphin show while sitting on the beach. Once in a life time opportunity! We had joining families on this trip with ages ranging from 6-17. We felt very safe letting the teens adventure on their own.We had dinner out a few times and it was fantastic, however the home was stocked with all the utensils you will need for any meal and very clean. This was our first time staying on the island and we will be back!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind review. Thanks again for keeping the home in good condition. We really enjoyed the video of the dolphin show at airport beach. Your right, once in a lifetime and to get it on video. Hope you come back to join us next year.

No better home on North Captiva Island

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been vacationing on North Cap for over 30 years, and without reservation, we all said this home is the best ever! We fish all day, so having such a comfortable and well provisioned home is so very important to us as a family prepping in the morning and then relaxing when we get back home. The property amenities, inside and out, are bountiful, extremely beautiful, comfortable and so very convenient ! We cooked, swam in the pool, grilled and enjoyed the beautiful sunrises from the sumptuous family room and adjoining porches and crows nest! To top it all off, the owners are amazing! They were so focused on making our stay special, wonderful and relaxing. We will definitely book this home again, soon! Thank you Charlie for your attention to our every comfort during our stay at your home.

Plenty of things to do on the island. Great house second time we stayed at this house. The only thing that might need to be done is some nails on deck are sticking up needs to pounded down. Definitely would stay here again.

North Captiva-hidden island oasis!

  • 4 of 5

My wife, two daughters, my brother's family of 4, and my parents (10 of us total), enjoyed our stay at Moondance. It comfortably slept 10 people with the 4 kids in the two twin bedroom w/trundles, and the three adult couples took the other three rooms. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the home was nicely furnished. The heated pool was kept at a steady 84-85 degrees during our entire stay (which is important as it remains in the shade the majority of the day). The unit came with two golf carts, and all the beach chairs needed to enjoy the beautiful beach areas of the island (where we spent most of our days). The only downside (if there actually had to be one) was having to take a short golf cart ride to the beach access points (which our family enjoyed the experience of). Also, the crow's nest deck on the top of the house provided true panoramic views of the island and the surrounding waters including the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway. We utilized Island Girl to ferry out, and we were welcomed dockside by the very friendly owner who had a trailer in tow to haul our luggage and groceries to the house for us while giving us a lay of the land tour. The elevator in the home was an added bonus when unloading the luggage upon our arrival, and would benefit anyone needing wheelchair accessibility. We utilized the on island boat rental place for two days to explore surrounding islands, and to grab lunch elsewhere (which is not necessary if staying on the island). We also highly recommend Barnacle Phil's Restaurant and the ice cream shop above it. There were dolphins everywhere on both sides of the island, and the national park on the southern part of the island was an amazing and exhausting walk to the other end of the island. I don't recommend doing it in flip-flops and younger kids. LOL The feeling of being removed from large amounts of people, and a friendly island atmosphere radiated through my mind the entire week. It was a very relaxing and quite vacation. My entire family ALL walked away from the vacation and said that it was the best vacation by far of any that we have taken over the past 12 years together including stays at Captiva Island, various points in the Florida keys, Marco Island, Longboat key, and others. I would highly recommend North Captiva, and Moondance is a beautiful LARGE home for the price.

Owner's Response: VRBO-Please post this under our Moondance # 81871. This is a very gracious response and we were delighted that they had a great trip. The family had more people than we thought would be comfortable in our other home and with their permission moved them to Moondance. Thanks
