Mike and Cheri Booth moved to Sycamore House in 2005, and both agree that they still feel as in love with the place now, as they did then. The peace and tranquillity, beautiful views and abundance of wildlife are an absolute joy. The only noise to be heard at night is the hooting of owls, and the faintest rumble of a train going over the viaduct from Arnside to Grange, to remind you that although you are in the midst of beautiful countryside, civilisation is only a stones throw away. Ola and Phoebe the family Munsterlander dogs keep the Booths fit, but frankly they much prefer lounging around in the garden and playing with the grandchildren......where they know there are always titbits!!

The place captivated us. Even when we went to see it for the first time viewing, we knew it was the place for us. Incidentally, it took is 3 trips to find it. Privacy comes as standard. It's much better now.....private road and signs!!
What makes this Apartment unique
Sycamore House is idyllic. The place just fills you with calm. I'm putting this on the website now on a December day looking out over the garden in watery sunlight to the bay and beyond. I can't hear a thing other than the birds on the feeder and pheasants arguing. There is nowhere I'd rather be.

This was such an amazing find! The accommodation was home from home, absolutely spotless, very well maintained and equipped.
Arnside is a beautiful location and perfect for day tips to the Lake District. The walk to the Promenade was lovely and we'd most definitely recommend the Fish & Chip shop!
Mike and Cheri were the perfect hosts and very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to returning next year!
Short August break
The property is really lovely. It's in a quiet location with great walks straight from the front door. The decoration/facilities were all of an extremely high standard. The main room feels very big due to the high vaulted ceiling. The owner host, Mike was extremely hospitable and provided much local information. We would like to return sometime soon!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. Mike, the owner was there on our arrival and made the check in process very easy and helpfully answered all our questions. The property itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

We’ve had a wonderful stay at this property. Mike, the owner, was very friendly and was on hand to show us around when we arrived.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, was well equipped and the beds were comfy. It’s located in a quiet and picturesque area and a short walk got us into Arnside which has two good pubs, a couple of cafes and a few other shops. Bowness-on-Windermere is about a 30 minute drive. I highly recommend this property for a couple or family.
The property is within 10 minutes walk to the beautiful tidal River Kent Estuary, with beautiful easy walks and stunning views of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland hills. Within 20-30 minutes drive of Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside.
Arnside has a station with at least 6 trains a day to the main West Coast line and directly into Manchester airport. The station is approximately 1 mile from the property and the owners would be happy to arrange transportation by arrangement.
Arnside village is approximately 1 mile.
Lancaster is approximately 15 miles.
Windermere approximately 20 miles.
Kendal approximately 8 miles.
The property is approximately 20 minutes from the M6 junction 36.
There are 2 pubs which serve food in Arnside and are within easy walking distance. Other excellent restaurants abound, but have varying journey times from 10-60 minutes.
Arnside has 2 good convenience stores, and a Booths supermarket is a 10 minute drive away. Please note there are no banks in Arnside, but cash machines in the convenience stores. The nearest fuel station is in Milnthorpe 10 minutes drive away.
