This huge 3-bed 3.5-bath Victorian combines period grace with modern indulgence, featuring a baby grand piano, antique furnishings and a well-equipped media room on the third floor.

There are three spacious bedrooms, including a master with its own sitting area and a huge en suite bath with a clawfoot tub.

Wraparound decks on the first and second floors, and a ‘widow’s walk’ on the third floor mean you can sit and enjoy the ambience wherever you are. Located walking distance to restaurants, shops, and Shipe Park which offers swimming, tennis and play spaces for the kids, this is a home ideally suited for experiencing Austin.


The first floor of this three-story Victorian has a parlor with the baby grand piano, large sitting room with gas fireplace, formal dining room for 10 and a huge eat-in kitchen with a second dining space for 6 people.

Wraparound decks on this and the second floor have plenty of seating if you’d rather head outside and soak up the sun, but banks of windows around the home mean that the interior is also flooded with natural light.

On the second floor are three generous bedrooms—the master with a king bed and the other two with queens. The master suite also contains two couches and a TV to stretch out and enjoy. The attached en suite bath has a stand-alone clawfoot tub, shower and two separate sinks. There are two more full baths as well as a half bath on the first floor.

Heading further up, you’ll find the enormous media room that dominates the third floor. With sectional seating and ottomans to host a crowd of 15, a projector and screen, Playstation and DVD player, the evening’s entertainment is taken care of. With all this fun, your guests may not want to leave - luckily, there’s a twin bed in this space too!

Please note that there is only street parking available at this home.


This is a great location near every amenity to make your stay pleasant. A 5-minute walk takes you to Duval St, with cafes, restaurants and shops galore. If you’re in the mood for some exercise, head over to Avenue G and explore all Shipe Park has to offer - it’s only 7 minutes’ walk away and boasts swimming and tennis facilities as well as a great playspace for the kids.

Want to rustle up a meal in that spectacular kitchen? A 4-minute drive will take you over to Central Market, which sells gourmet veggies, meats, cheese and wine but also offers an in-house cafe with live music and food events. Hang out, enjoy the vibe, and take home some snacks for late-night munching!

                                        The property manager was very helpful.

                                        The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

                                        Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

                                        Turn key personnel was very responsive on a couple of issues. Hair dyer listed in write up was not found, a new one was brought to us on day one. House was not well kept. Walls/Doors were dirty, outside deck furniture was dirty and old, extra bedroom had double bed, not queen as noted online. Bedding was old, master bedroom closet had 5 pairs of men’s shoes with layers of dust on them. House is in a great neighborhood, good bones, but needs maintenance!
