Owner/Property Manager purchased this House in 2004
Why Owner/Property Manager chose Gainesville
This property was bought by my grandfather in the 1920s. My mother was born here in the 1940s. It was subsequently sold. We bought the property back in 2004 and turned it in to a guest house where we frequently stayed when we came to town. We decided to begin sharing the house on VRBO a few years ago.

Special Olympics weekend
A charming home in a great location in Gainesville, very warm, welcoming and comfortable!
The cottage was homey and appealing. It was very clean and stocked with essentials.
Loved it! Older home with charm.
Comfortable 5 weeks
My husband and I found the house very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked so only needed our groceries and drinks. There were plenty of linens and towels. The big jetted tub was very nice. I enjoyed the roomy front porch area with the wicker furniture. Lee was very easy to work with. I would recommend his place to others when visiting the area.
Far exceeded my expectations
Pictures can't do this house justice. It was so homey and quaint. Our visit to Gainesville was accentuated because of our stay. We will definitely stay again.
Our family stayed here during the US Rowing Youth SE Regionals weekend. The location was just 10 minutes from the Olympic Park venue. The area is safe, quiet, and convenient to restaurants and grocery store. The house is very spacious, with historical elegance and charm; it exceeded my expectations (based on the photos). We had everything we needed, plus some thoughtful touches from our host. Lee was patient and hospitable, even when I mistakenly thought there was no arrival info sent to us (note: you should log in to your VRBO account to access that info!). Thank you!

No smoking. No pets. This isn't a fraternity house. There's a folder on the kitchen table outlining house rules, and containing information about the area, things to do, and places to eat. We welcome your stay!
