Causeway Barn is one of twelve Northumbrian stone and slate barn conversions that form a charming converted Victorian farm Steading surrounded by tranquil fields. Inside, spacious and beautifully styled interiors are characterised by large arched windows and outside spaces that benefit from an East/West orientation, this Barn will appeal to a family party, or equally to 2 couples or singles holidaying together.
Downstairs the hallway has a WC room off and wide staircase leading up to the bedrooms. The kitchen/diner is very large with a fully integrated fitted kitchen with porcelain tiled floor and solid oak worktops. Facilities include full length fridge 60%/ freezer 40%, fan oven with eye level grill and extractor over, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, iron and ironing board.The solid oak dining table has 4 comfortable dining chairs. Arched French doors lead onto the garden terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs.
The sitting room is very comfortable with a large curved designer sofa and two arm swivel armchairs. Large flat screen TV, DVD player and selection of DVDs, Ipod docking station, local interest leaflets, books and games.
Bedroom 1 has a Super King size pocket sprung bed with a fabulous free standing bath area and en suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 the bed maybe Twin or Super King size and this room is serviced by a family bathroom featuring a full size bath and walk in shower.
Complimentary Cole and Lewis hand wash in both bathrooms , heated chrome towel rails and marble floor tiles. Both bedrooms have radio alarm clocks, hair dryers and high quality anti allergenic linen and duvets/pillows. Bed linen is professionally laundered.
To the rear of the Barn is a beautiful garden that enjoys sunshine from before noon to evening in summer and is wonderfully sheltered by the larger courtyard formation.
To the front of Causeway Barn is a private residents only road that was built originally by the Romans and is known as, “The Causeway,” hence the name of the Barn. Here there is plenty of car parking and also a lockable bike store.
Outside the Barn swallows dart in the sky above and deer, foxes and buzzards form part of an abundance of wildlife that are often seen. In spring and summer guests can enjoy the cows grazing peacefully with their calves in the field beyond the Causeway whilst the sun rises over the sea beyond, one mile away. Here, long stretches of deserted sandy beach and the Northumberland Coast and Castle Cycle Route stretch southwards past Goswick Golf Course through the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve to Holy Island- an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Causeway Barn is located less than one mile of the A1 north/south main road and provides excellent access to all the coast and castles of Northumberland, the Scottish Borders as well as Edinburgh, Scotland’s Capital city.
