Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely spacious and well equipped cottage and surrounding areas on the farm. Karen and Tim were both lovely. Only downside was the garden, if it could of been fenced off around the back just so we could let the dog off the lead and run around. Enjoyed visiting Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and Newquay. All within 30 minute distances. . Thankyou for a lovely stay.
Happy on the farm
This home was clean, bed comfortable, kitchen all we needed and we loved the location on a small farm. Karen and Tim were great hosts showing great concern for our comfort and were helpful to us. If you like horses, donkeys, geese, chicken, ducks on ponds and seeing Kites float the fields this is a very charming place. There is a view of the Ocean as this farm is high on the headland above the Ocean. It is convenient to the Ocean beaches and some great towns on the Ocean. We were always entertained and found this home strategic to all we wished to do. We were offered the opportunity to use their mountain bikes, but never got around to using them. Pennant is a great little town out of the way but has a good grocery stored and pub within walking distance. We found the home private though we our hosts were our neighbors. It was comforting to know they were there if we needed them. We would most definitely recommend this home to our friends and family.
Peaceful, welcoming and relaxing
We really enjoyed staying here, it was a real home from home. Well a lot different from our home (a busy town) but a home we'd love to have! We stayed in the annex which was beautifully presented, with lovely homely touches - a Christmas tree and decorations. The location was so peaceful and the owners were really welcoming. We spent time at Aberaeron and New Quay which we loved. We would definitely recommend 'The Wellington Inn' in New Quay for food and the 'Blue Bell Deli' for a bite to eat and a coffee.
We will definitely be coming back to this little spot we have found, hopefully with dogs in toe to enjoy the walks!
Very quiet and cosy in a lovely location with fantastic views.
What a place. So very quiet ....even with the windows open. Loads of wildlife around. Views to die for. Our 17 month old boy loved the place.
The annex is very clean and well laid out and the hosts are very welcoming and accommodating.
I would HIGHLY recommend staying here.
Great relaxing place
Lovely comfortable cottage and welcoming hosts. Everything you needed. Fresh eggs from the chickens was lovely. Would recommend to others
excellent cottage, clean and warm, great views lovely people
We had a great week visiting lots of places from Aberaeron to Portmeirion. New Quay was a bit fraught - very busy. the weather was kind and we had some beautiful sunsets. If you just want relax the ponds on site were a short walk with ample room to sit and read - not that we had time.
All in all great either as a base to tour the surrounding area or as somewhere just to relax.
Pen y Banc is only a short drive to the picturesque harbour town of Aberaeron and approx 12 miles to Aberystwyth and New Quay.
Nearest Airports, Cardiff, Bristol. Aberystwyth train station.
Places of interest, Devils Bridge, Coastal path walking, National Trust Gardens, fishing and Dolphin boat trips, good selection of local restaurants, Steam Railway. Red kite feeding centre, many local wild life walks and cycle paths. Pony trekking
