About Emma Hughes
Alpine Adventure is a small, family company owned and operated by Mark and Emma Hughes. We left our life in London in 2008 and set up home here in the French Alps, chasing our dream for a better way of life. After a year painstakingly restoring our 300 year old home "La Vieille Ferme de la Moussiere" we opened our doors to our first guests in Christmas 2008 and have never looked back. We aim to provide the perfect base for your skiing or summer break, offering great service, delicious food and taking the hassle out of your holiday. We are both passionate lovers of the mountains - both in the winter for skiing and in the summer for biking, hiking and adventure sports. We hope to share some of the treasures that we have found in this beautiful corner of the world with you.

Why Emma Hughes chose Saint-Jean-dʼAulps
We fell in love with La Vieille Ferme because the building has so much character and charm. It is one of the oldest building in the region and during it's long and eventful history it has been a police station, courthouse, farmhouse, restaurant and even a jail! We have worked hard to preserve the ancient character of the building and yet create a comfortable "home-from-home" for our guests.
What makes this chalet unique
We lived in La Vieille Ferme for many years, and now live just next door, so are on hand to help with any advice that you need during your holiday. We love the location of the house as it is so easy to access all of the outdoor activities and attractions available in the area, yet the actual location of the house is pretty and tranquil and away from the crowds. The house is perfectly located in a quiet and sunny spot, just a 5 minute stroll down a riverside path to all of the village amenities. You can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, walking, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, swimming and numerous adventure sports very close by.
