Five minutes drive away is ancient La Cala bay that has an excellent sandy beach and shops. Five minutes in the opposite direction is Fuengirola with aquapark, marina, beaches, restaurants and busy nightlife. There are superb golf courses at Chaparral Mijas and La Cala. Quality shopping is available twenty minutes drive away in Marbella and the nearby marina of Puerto Banus. Picturesque mountain villages such as Mijas and Casares and the Roman town of Ronda are worth visiting. Malaga, Granada, Estepona and Gibraltar are nearby for day trips. Sierra Nevada ski-resort (ski-season Dec- May) is a two hour drive away

Amazing apartment, pool & location.
Apartment decor, location & pool - top notch. A bit too quiet for my children to socialise but the taxis were extremely quick to pick up and were reasonably priced.
The tranquility was exactly what my husband & I wanted and we practically had the whole pool to ourselves during the month of September. The weather was great which made our stay much more enjoyable!
There was a small strip of chinese, indian & mexican restaurants near by with a couple of English bars & spanish owned bars to satisfy your appetite.. The beach was within walking distance and was immaculate to swim in with lifeguards on watch.
We were meeted and greeted by a lovely couple, Barry & Norma, who were there 24/7 with any queries or problems. They were such a lovely couple who just couldn't do enough for you and were always advising & guiding us to the nearest towns, best restaurants & location of the local supermarkets etc,. Their help made our holiday so much enjoyable.
We would love to return to the apartment and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a lovely, tranquil, relaxing holiday.

A friend told me and wife about 'Owners Direct' and we found their website easily on the internet. Because we previously had a Christmas/New Year holiday break in Benalmadena we decided to look for apartments somewhere in the same area or down the coast a little further. As we had planned the holiday in late August with our daughter, her partner and the 3 grandchildren we found this great apartment about 25 minutes south from Benalmadena and with its own fantastic pool and beautifully maintained closed gardens for the use of the apartments only plus some very good local amenities so we felt this would be just right.
It turned out to be an ideal choice. We were met at the apartment by Barry, the apartment manager and his wife Norma who were so helpful. The apartment was good with nice sized rooms and a spacious and shaded balcony area which, with the table and chairs provided, was where we had most of our meals when we didn't eat out. The apartment was very well equipped with all good mod cons so was perfect for a largish Family stay. The kids absolutely loved the pool and was a good safe place to let them play and the grown-ups to relax, when they weren't in the pool as well !
The local beach was about a 5 minute walk away and although not a great white sandy beach the kids were much more interested in exploring the many rock pools and searching for 'sea life' They didn' worry much about the beach but they still went in the sea when not scrambling around the rock pools.
Although local transport is pretty good, because we wanted to visit other places such as the water park in Torremolinos, the marina at Benalmadena and see the 'supercars' and 'superyachts' in Puerto Banus just down the coast past Marbella we decide to hire a family size 'people carrier' for the week. There are various places to hire from and although we travelled from Malaga airport to the apartment by taxi we got a very good price from a rental company based near the airport and they delivered the vehicle to the apartment the same day in with the rental price.
Just a few hundred metres down the road from the apartment are some very good local restaurants/bars and shops but because we had the hire car we were able to do our main grocery shopping from supermarkets when we were out 'exploring' various local areas.
We would highly recommend contacting Glenda and Stephen if you want a great apartment and a wonderful holiday.

We were fortunate to book this apartment when it had just been put on this website. I would expect for this to become popular very quickly! From the moment I booked this Glenda and Stephen were there to help both by phone and email. I was provided with all the information needed and extra. I felt very confident prior to arriving at the apartment. They gave us the options to get to the apartment: train,hire car, bus , local taxi or one of their neighbours. We went with their neighbour for reasonable fee and the reassurance we were in safe hands. On arriving their neighbour opened up for us and showed us around. Marvelous thanks Trevor. I would describe the apartment like the advert that says it does exactly as it says on the tin! All the description are correct. Though its alot larger than it looks. The apartment had everything you would need. It was clean and tidy. The highlight for us was the huge balcony with a fantastic view of the pool and the sea ( perfect) The pool was beautiful and the gardens well maintained. On a personal note I virtually never feel relaxed and was shocked to be the most relaxed I ever remember being. This was an excellent peaceful and relaxing location. Within a 5 minute walk is a small supermarket and good selection of restaurants. But the best thing was the bus stop was just around the corner which accessed all the places along the coast. We went to Fuengirola in the day and night. To Aqualand. Along to Cala Mijas ( lovely beach) Plus a day out to Marbella and Puerto Banus. We've never seen so many expensive cars and boats. During our stay we ate a variety of places and coffee shops there is something for everyone. Usually when on holiday we're ready to come home but all of us including a 14 and 16 year old didn't want to leave. We felt at home and all the people we came into contact with in the apartments were so friendly and helpful. Well I would recommend this to everyone but once everyone knows about it you'll need to book a year in advance LOL. Thank you so much Glenda and Stephen.
