Buddlestone is set in a peaceful farm location on the Lands End Penisula, 1/4 mile from village amenities and within a few miles of beaches and coves & pretty Lamorna Valley
About Vicki Rogers
Both my husband and I were born in Cornwall. My husband grew up in St Buryan, while I was brought up on the family farm near Helston. Having gone to university in Canterbury, Kent and various stints in Essex and Hertfordshire, I came home to Cornwall about 15 years ago. As a family we all enjoy the outdoors and country life.
Vicki Rogers purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Vicki Rogers chose Saint Buryan
St Buryan is a friendly village to bring up a family, it is where my husband is from and many of the family still live in and around the village. Lying at the heart of the Lands End Peninsula in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there is everything you could wish for within a short drive. We are within 10 minutes of all the town amenities of Penzance, including it's shopping centre, galleries, fine eateries, night life and even the vineyard. We have all the beauty of West Cornwall right on our doorstep, from sheltered wooded valleys to lonely and wild heathland. Some of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall on both coasts are all within a few miles, as is the coastal path with its breath taking views. Why would you want to live anywhere else!
What makes this Cottage unique
Within 10 minute drive of both coasts, their amazing beaches and coastal paths. Close to local village amenities (10 min stroll or 2 mins by car). Secluded & peaceful position set at the end of pretty farmhouse drive. Large private enclosed garden. Child and dog friendly. Use of 3/4 field to run the dogs, play cricket or football or just enjoy a cup of coffee at the picnic table. Private parking. A comfortable home from home with plenty of room inside and out. Friendly but non intrusive owners, always available to answer any questions, make recommendations or even book taxi's.

Beautiful farmhouse in Cornwall
Lovely and well equipped property in beautiful rural location. We had everything we needed, the house was very clean and the location is excellent for getting to beaches, walks and pubs and exploring Cornwall. Penzance not far away for cinema trips on rainy days. Vicki was the perfect host. We would love to come back.
Wonderful stay. Lovely location, peaceful yet close to beaches, gardens and amenities. A well equipped home from home with large garden and lovely little extras including cream tea!
A lovely October half term break with family
The house was very well catered for and Vicki was there to welcome us when we arrived with scones and a bottle of wine in the fridge which was a nice added touch. We would definitely stay again.
Lovely setting, great location good size for family of 5.
Nice touch with complimentary mik, flowers, cream tea on arrival and wine in the fridge.
However we took our 2 dogs with us and in the small print it stated not to be left alone in the property at any time - I really wish i had been told this when i originally spoke on the phone enquiring about taking them as we would not of booked. It caused massive restrictions for days out and restaurants that allowed dogs..not wanting to leave them in our car.
Garden grass not mowed. Dripping tap lots of wastage.
Would of liked option to recycle our materials.
Owner very obliging
We are glad that you liked the little extra's on arrival and the setting. Thank you for drawing our attention to the couple of issues that you mentioned and hopefully these have now been addressed for future. Firstly, we are sorry you felt it was not clear beforehand that dogs are not to be left 'home alone' unless in a suitable crate/cage with water. This policy has always been clearly stated under the Dog Policy heading in the Rental Agreement that we advise should be read prior to payment. This agreement is available on HomeAway as well as our own website. However, we have now also clearly stated this in the House Rules section on HomeAway. We can also provide details of local dog walkers/cares & kennels that offer hourly/half day/full day dog care in a variety of settings for those wanting a trip out without their 4 legged friend(s). Apologises for the tap were given on arrival, however, the plumber finally arrived & a whole new tap has been fitted, so hopefully there should be no leaks for years to come. We do provide a facility for recycling of glass & take this to the recycling centre ourselves. At present the collection service for home recyclables remains unreliable & at best works on a 2 week rota, by which time the local wildlife has reeked havoc. When this becomes more reliable we gladly relook at this. There is however a collection point located at the Community House in the village for some recyclable items for guests that would like to utilise it. Council recycling bags,/bin now provided at Buddlestone for guests use, although council collection service remains fortnightly. Sorry the grass was not cut before your arrival, in the current drought there's now no grass to cut anywhere. We are glad though that for the main part everything was satisfactory and we hope that these issues have now been addressed or clarified. Kind regards
Lovely home in a perfectly peaceful setting
We had a wonderful stay at Buddlestone during the Easter break. Perfect for families. Vickie made the stay as comfortable as it was possible to be. Thank you x
Thank you, glad you enjoyed your stay & thank your daughter for the lovely note she left. Lovely to know that the little extras are worth it. Also a big thank you for leaving the cottage clean & stripping the beds was a massive bonus. We hope to see you all again. Vicki
Cosy and spotlessly clean house in a peaceful location
We had a lovely week in October half term at Buddlestone. House was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean with every facility you could want. Dogs enjoyed the spacious garden . Ideally situated to enjoy all our favourite places in this part of Cornwall. The little extra touches from Vicki make the stay even more special like Halloween decorations , wine , cream tea and Halloween chocolates for my daughter. All in all would highly recommend and hope to return very soon.
Thank you, we love doing the little extra's especially for the children. It's been lovely to see you back here since on several occasions. Kind regards, Vicki
