Very clean and well equipped cottage. Beds only ok. Very busy main road with traffic only a few feet away might be an issue for some we had a great week and enjoyed the lovely situation.
Lovely cottage in a great area
This cottage is immaculately clean, comfortable and smart. Ballachulish makes a brilliant base for a holiday in this area.
Fantastic cottage - great location
We had a fabulous time at Ardchattan.
The cottage was perfect; well equipped, very warm and cosy and a great location. The weather was a mixed bag but that didn’t stop us doing anything; in fact it made the scenery even more stunning as the view was constantly changing.
There is plenty to do here - we particularly enjoyed the passenger ferry from Port Appin to Lismore for a local day out. We weren’t expecting to see sea otters! You do need to note that there isn’t a ferry back at 1pm though else its a long wait for the next one (they run hourly)! Fortunately we did this on a warm sunny day so soaking up the sun and stunning scenery was not a problem!
There has obviously been a considerable amount of thought given to the way this property had been tastefully renovated. The kitchen being our preferred space for the time we spent at Ardchattan Cottage.
Very well equipped and plenty of room to relax & to cook a meal. All other rooms are nicely decorated with the bed in the master bedroom being supremely comfortable. The multi fuel burner in the living room was an added bonus.
Despite the evening chill we did spend some time in the garden sitting and admiring the view from the elevated decking.
The property itself is situated close to the main road between Glencoe & Fort William and despite some traffic noise it did not hinder our sleep after long days walking.
Overall, fantastic accommodation perfectly positioned to explore Glencoe & beyond.
Stunning scenery! Saw lots of wildlife!
Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need for your stay, immaculately clean and very warm. Lovely to walk to hotels in evening from the cottage. Eating out was good value and high quality. We fell in love with Scotland and will be back!
We had a great week away in this lovely cottage. Perfectly situated for Glen Coe and Ben Nevis. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equiped. David, the owner rang us the week before our stay to finalise arrangements and popped by to check we had everything we needed. An excellent choice if you're looking to visit the area.
