About Christine Reilly
I live in Wiltshire with my husband, daughter, three grandchildren and three dogs. We also own a large property in Normandy France which we hope to be letting out soon.
Christine Reilly purchased this Apartment in 2015
Why Christine Reilly chose Swanage
We've been thinking about buying a property by the sea for a few years now, but hadn't really looked until now. This was only the 2nd property we looked at and it was perfect, exactly what we had written in our wish list. No hills to climb or steps down to the beach, everything is within walking distance and all on the level.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is located right on the seafront, you can hear the waves from inside with all the windows closed, the beach is 5 mins walk and the same for the High Street with lovely trinket shops, pubs and restaurants. There are 2 fish and chips shops at one end of the Parade and smashing cafe at the other end that do wonderful breakfasts. Next to the cafe is a Theatre and Cinema. The town is very dog friendly and are welcome on the beach between September and May.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Sea front Swanage
On arrival the lock that was given to us was the wrong number, it took an hour to get any details by which time we were thinking of going home. We eventually had contact from owner who explained her cleaner had let her down and someone would be along soon. When the ladies arrived we were told it would take about half an hour to clean and change the bedding and to go and get a drink, however we had that in the hour or so we were waiting. So we sat outside in car until they were finished. When they left we were notified by owner she had forgotten to tell us the key safe number had been changed. The bedrooms were very damp and musty smelling the kitchen sink smelt Badley so I used bleach overnight to try and get rid of some of the smell. The lounge curtain fell down first night I advised the owner who said she would get someone in. It was still down when we left. For the price not the best I have stayed in I wouldn't go again
I’m very sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay in Swanage. If you have supplied a mobile number I would have been able to get to you immediately instead of repeatedly trying your home number. Unfortunately the cleaner had a family emergency, not let me down, this was the first time in 3 years! I came to the apartment straight after you and there was no smell of damp or drain smells! Good luck with your next booking!
lovely comfortable central location
Once again this lovely flat was ideal for us during the Folk Festival. We all had a great time. Looking forward to next year. Thanks Christine
Jane and her friends are ideal guests, we would welcome them back any time. We would also highly recommend them to other hosts.
Great apartment,amazing location.
what a fantastic holiday! A stone throw is a home from home with everything you could need for a short break or a month long holiday, there is so much to do in the area we enjoyed a spot of crabbing with the children, playing on the beach and wonderful coastal walks. Thank you Christine for sharing your apartment with us it really is a treasure.
The Gore family were the perfect guests, I would welcome them back any time and would definitely recommend them to other hosts
Had a wonderful stay in the apartment at the beginning of August. The rooms are very big and accommodate guests roomily. The apartment had everything needed, just take your own beddings and towels! The parking was very slim, we couldn’t comfortably fit a Ford Focus into the spot without worry of the car next to us damaging the car or not giving us enough room to swing out into the alley. However there are plenty of side roads in swanage with free parking a 10 minute walk away so we wasn’t bothered. Christine was very welcoming and helpful in the leadup to the stay and was on the phone if needed at all. The apartment is based literally “a stones throw” from the sea and is walking distance to the shops, arcades and restaurants. Would definitely return to the apartment.
Thank you for your lovely comments x
Easter in Swanage
Really lovely apartment, we thoroughly enjoyed the break even though the weather was not kind. Just be aware that you will really struggle with the parking space if you have anything bigger than a medium sized car, we just about squeezed in a Vauxhall Corsa. Everything you need is right on the doorstep - I would definitely go again.
