About Sarah Williams
About the owner. We own and manage two properties in Cornwall, a spacious Edwardian terraced house in St Ives ( E1722), and this house which is our much loved family home, let out as we now split our time between London and Cornwall. We obviously know the house, and the areas intimately. We are also on hand to answer any queries or to provide immediate help in event of any problem. We provide a friendly and high quality service. It is genuinely important to us that you enjoy your precious holiday time and we are always happy to listen to any suggestions our guests may have, both before and after their visit.

Why Sarah Williams chose Falmouth
review from Air bnb customer: Sarah's house is delightful, spacious, comfortable and interesting. We were welcomed with wine, flowers and pastries, with milk in the fridge. We felt as if we were staying in a friend's house, with so many special items both personal and pieces of art everywhere. The kitchen felt like a real kitchen, though, as we didn't know how to use the aga, the only two gas rings were a bit of a challenge cooking for 6. The back yard and garden were wonderfully comfortable for lounging and chatting. Communication with Sarah was easy with text and she made it clear she was available for any problems - there were none. An original and charming place to stay.

Beautiful Falmouth holiday house
We stayed in this home for a week with family. We were welcomed by two lovely cats and an amazing welcome pack of beers, wine, scones, clotted cream, coffee and tea (all locally produced which was a nice touch).
All the rooms were spacious and eclectically decorated and cleaned to a high standard.
Falmouth is a great place to visit and we had many happy night in this lovely home.
A beautiful, spacious tastefully decorated house
This is beautifully decorated and spacious family house, easily large enough for two families with two teens.
The rooms are all a really great size, we fought a bit over who would get the amazing attic room, but everyone was happy!
The house was spotless and we loved the fact that this is also a family home - we felt really comfortable staying here and the owner was always accessible and incredibly helpful with any questions we had. The art and the books just added to the welcoming feel of the house.
We were extremely grateful for the delicious welcome goodies after the long drive - it was a really lovely touch.
The house was about 5 minutes from the centre of Falmouth and less than 10 minutes to a lovely sandy beach. There are tons of restaurants and cafes and lots to keep our teens happy.
We loved the house and would recommend staying here.
Stunning house, fully equipped & great location
We were truly blown away by the house! It is much larger than we thought it would be and was perfect for three adult couples and two children to all have their own space. As the property is a part time home to the owners, it is more than equipped with everything you could possibly need within any duration of stay. The owners possessions only add to the property's charm and we thoroughly enjoyed touring the house to take in all the art and design features.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean, which must be no mean feat considering the size of the house! The welcome basket left by Sarah was such a kind and thoughtful touch and after a ten hour journey, was very much appreciated. Sarah even left a brand new beach play set for our children, whom thoroughly enjoyed them.
Our favourite bit of the house was the courtyard. We were blessed with good weather throughout most of our stay and the comfortable outdoor lounge area was where we spent all our evenings. Our one and only suggestion to the owners was that some European cafe style twinkly lights (or small festoon string lights) would look wonderful overhead in that area. There is more than adequate lighting outside, it's just something that we thought might look nice!
As we were travelling with a baby, I asked Sarah if the property was equipped with a cot and high chair. Sarah said that she would sort for our stay and true to her word, a brand new travel cot and high chair were waiting for us.
The house is situated in a lovely residential area of Falmouth, about a ten minute walk in to town. A lovely little tapas restaurant is literally a minute's walk around the corner (Provedore) and a shop is a five minute walk in the other direction. It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the beach, although there might be a quicker route!
Within Falmouth itself, we enjoyed a great meal at The Brig, a thoroughly enjoyable day at Pendennis Castle and the best pub (of which there are many!) we found was Beerwolf Books.
If we returned to the area, I wouldn't hesitate to book again with Sarah and happily recommend to all. Thank you so much, again!
Florence Terrance is a beautiful Edwardian house, a steep 10 minute walk out of Falmouth center. The house is a large family home which we had taken for 2 weeks. The beds were all made up with clean white sheets and we had been left a welcome pack of cookies & wine by the owner.
The biggest issue with this house was that it was not clean & there were a number of issues the light switches & plumbing. We informed the owner of the light switches not working which she arranged to be mended. However we decided not to confront her about how dirty her home was whilst we were there as we didn't want it to become the focal point of our holiday.
The oven was filthy, with baked on food on the bottom. Kitchen utensils were dirty & broken & the kettle was cracked & covered in dirt. We ended up having to buy glasses as there weren't enough for 8 people. Mugs & plates were cracked & chipped. There were thick cobwebs in the corners of rooms & pet hair over the floor in the living room.
Contacting the owner on our return she said she would have sorted out the problems if we had contacted her whilst we were there. But the house would have taken days to clean properly, days that were part of our holiday which was meant to be relaxing, not disturbed by people coming & going in a property we had paid a large amount of money to stay in.
I am very sorry that Anna did not enjoy her stay at Florence terrace. The house is thoroughly cleaned before all arrivals and I would always happily come back to remedy any concerns guests have - it would be easier to address at the time. The light switches did work although with a special technique - I sent the electrician in within 24 hours as soon as I realised it was a problem, and there weren't any plumbing issues - just hair blocking a shower outlet. It had been left clean and clear but I will leave a note so future guests are aware it needs monitoring. Glasses are plentiful but I will make sure in future that there are 8 wine/tumbler etc matching. Anna described the crockery as eclectic which is fair, and is not to everyone's taste - but it is plentiful and I will try to check and remove any that have been damaged at changeover. Whilst not wishing to belittle any concerns I would like to reassure anyone who might still be thinking of coming that I have never had an unhappy guest before and the holidaymakers that succeeded Anna were delighted with the house and have said they would like to return. I wait to see what they say in their review! I am only sorry that these guests were disappointed. Best wishes Sarah
