Beautiful home needs management improvements

  • 3 of 5

The property itself and the views are beautiful. We spent 4 nights with our 5 kids (ages 9-13). Unfortunately, the services/amenities provided by the management company need a significant upgrade.

- The game room in the basement provided hours of entertainment with air hockey and foosball, great table for puzzles, gas fireplace and tv.

- Good layout with 2 bedrooms upstairs, master on main and one in basement.

- Loved the bunk room

- Hot tub with spectacular views accessible from the basement.

- Great views from the main level.

- Description on the website is very accurate

- Lots of linens, extra blankets

- The cabin says it sleeps 10 but the dining table only seats 6.

- There are 2 bar seats but you can't eat as a whole group together.

- There only 5 small drinking glasses that didn't match. Same goes for the water and wine glasses and bowls. A nice set of matching glassware for 10 people would have been great.

- Although the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, they were mostly very overused, teflon all scraped off, and dirty.

- All of the glasses were dirty. Perhaps the dishwasher isn't very good, but management should check this. Literally, every glass and bowl had to be rewashed.

- Arrived with no ice in the ice maker and hours later there still wasn't enough to even fill 2 glasses.

- The air hockey table needed constant work to get the pucks to count the score. Often had to push the puck in several times to get it to hit the sensor. Kind of annoying for 4 days and 5 kids.

- There are no bathmats in the bathrooms. It was 20 degrees out and coming out of the shower to a cold floor isn't ideal.

- The towels are very thin and rough. A slight upgrade would go a long way to give the unit a more luxurious feel.

- Several towels were stained in several very large spots with purple marker. Again, management problem. Had to ask for more towels to replace dirty one and use as bathmats.

- Would be nice for them to provide 2 bars of soap in the for the sink and one for the shower so you aren't taking it back and forth.

- There were nightlights in the hallways and bathrooms which was nice but they were all burned out.

- Also there were flashlights in the bedrooms but the batteries were dead.

Management did respond to my requests for towels and batteries so I give them credit for being responsive but the overall amenities provided need an upgrade across the board to match the beautiful home and scenic views.
