The small picturesque village of Montgesty is literally on your doorstep, with a small bar/restaurant and bakery and you're just 20 minutes from the beautiful capital city of the Lot - the medieval Cahors dating back to Roman times.
Here you'll find many large supermarkets, a huge variety of restaurants and bars and the famous bridge. You can get boat trips from here also - well worth doing as you see the spectacular limestone cliffs and wildlife up close.
All the attractions of the Lot and Dordogne areas are within easy reach, with lovely walks, kayaking and horse riding are not far away, or some wine tasting in the nearby vineyards.
