Only 2 minutes walk away is the historic area of Frigiliana village nestling in the foothills of one of Spain’s most beautiful national parks, it is a beautiful white washed Moorish hill village, with a maze of clean cobbled streets, very quiet and relaxing, with ample choice of restaurants, boutiques and village shops for supplies. There are fabulous beaches only a 10 minutes drive away in the nearby vibrant town of Nerja.

We bought this apartment two years ago to holiday as a couple and with our family of older teenage children. It works on all fronts as a quiet relaxing bolt hole for us as a couple and also has enough going on to be a hit with the children when we're all there.

The residential is stunning and the whole family enjoys padle tournaments, the pool and relaxing in the quiet garden of our apartment. Through the village access gate, we are just minutes walk away from a range of cafes and restaurants in the historic centre of Frigiliana to while away an afternoon or beautiful evening sunset. In the summer months our apartment offers a shady area for lunchtime dining on the patio and the apartment benefits as a cool retreat. We recently visited in April and enjoyed a fantastic day skiing in Sierra Nevada - abundant snow and glorious sunshine!

Lovely Apartment in the Heart of Frigiliana
From the first email Sarah was very helpful and communicative. The location is perfect - straightforward to drive to, street parking is ample, and being just on the edge of the old town an easy walk to restaurants, shops and local sights.
The apartment is wonderful ... fully outfitted with a complete kitchen and everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space, on two levels, is fantastic. Since we visited in November the weather was not warm enough to take full advantage of the dining area, but we did manage to spend some enjoyable afternoons in the sun on the upper patio. The apartment was very cool when we arrived, but after a quick email to Sarah, she corrected this by having an additional heater delivered to us and we were comfortable for the rest of our stay. In warmer weather this would not be a problem at all.
We would definitely recommend this property, and the town of Frigiliana. We hope to return soon!

Really enjoyed our stay in Frigiliana and great to be able to walk from the apartment to all the bars and restaurants. Really love The Garden Restaurant.
Lovely spacious apartment situated within lovely terraced gardens.
We loved this apartment. It is spacious, well maintained, well equipped and very secure. It is situated within lovely terraced gardens with easy access to the 2 swimming pools. Also some of the views from the upper gardens are amazing.
The apartment has 2 large private terraces on 2 levels with a large table for dining and a on the other a sofa to relax. We also loved the location of the apartment, it is within the old part of Frigiliana and was only about 7 mins walk to the church square.
The apartment is within easy access to some great restaurants and bars. There is also a municipal pool within close proximity. So if you prefer a larger pool you can use for a small fee.
We had a great relaxing holiday in Frigiliana. Sarah’s apartment is lovely and she is a pleasure to deal with. Picking up the keys was easy and directions prior to our visit perfect.
We loved our stay and intend to return in the future.

Lovely property, fabulous cool outside space. Superb beds. Excellent!
We have stayed at this block previously, but Sarah's property is lovely. It is lower ground floor which meant it was so lovely and cool in the bedrooms to aide a wonderful sleep, along with the extremely comfy beds! The outside space was delightful, on two levels, with dining area and lounging sofas. Kitchen well stocked and a delight to have a dishwasher, comfy sofa's in the lounge. Excellent that there were 2 loos as when there are 4/5 guest this is required. The pool on site is lovely too, together with grassed and well kept gardens. Sarah provided plenty of inflatables and chairs, cushions to use which was a lovely bonus. Altogether the apartment, its grounds and Sarah's quick responses to any queries made this an excellent trip (my 15th at least to Frigiliana and can't stop going!).

Lovely property in a great location
My wife and I had a lovely stay here in June. The outside space is fabulous for sun and shade and the apartment is well equipped though we did not eat in very much. Unfortunately the pools weren’t very clean when we saw them but we did hear them being used so guess that had been sorted.
We will definitely consider this property and frigiliana again. Overall it was great

Spacious but without a view when you’re inside
We loved the fact that the apartment is very spacious, especially the kitchen. The location of the apartment is really good too. What we loved less was the fact that you don t have a view on the street or the valley when you re inside the apartment (when you re sitting on the upper terrace you do). The weather was quite bad when we were there - a lot of rain and cold. Than not having a view is not so nice. The beds we found to hard. And one of the toilets smelled a lot - which is more often the case in spanish mountain villages - which was a pity. I think in summer it is a very good apartment, with a beautiful spacious terrace and enough shade.
Thank you for your review and comments. I’m sorry you had such poor weather and ended up being cooped up inside. There are lots of places to visit in costa del sol and perhaps a car would have been an advantage when the weather’s bad.
I will have the toilet looked at but it is better if it is used often being an inside toilet and Spanish plumbing!

In the nearby beach town resort of Nerja (6 km) is 10 minutes by car or local bus ( 1 Euro hourly service in high season)
Malaga Airport is 60 kilometres away on a direct motorway link, approx. 45 mins drive. Local & regional public transport is reliable and cheap. Car hire is advisable for more independent travel/exploration of the wider Andalusia area.
Two minute walk to the historic village for grocerys and craft shops, bank, chemist, post office, gym, outdoor swimming pool and a wonderful choice of restaurants and bars. There are four large supermarkets in Nerja, and a Lidl is about 5 mins drive away.
Further afield the historic city of Granada home to the majestic Alhambra takes 50 minutes by car. Sierra Nevada is 30 minutes from Granada where you can ski late in the season on the south facing slopes of this popular ski resort.
Frigiliana is located just 6 kilometres inland north of Nerja and lies at an altitude of 435 metres. Situated in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountain range, Frigiliana is an extremely pretty village which has received several awards for conservation and beauty. It enjoys spectacular countryside as well as wonderful sea views and good access to the coast. The population is around 3,000.
The village is a tangle of narrow cobbled streets lined by whitewashed houses, their wrought-iron balconies filled with planters of brilliant red geraniums. Small plazas provide shady seating while the village bars are popular with visitors who come here to taste the locally produced wine. There are also several excellent shops selling pottery and ceramics, including decorative plates with their distinctive Arab design. Frigiliana is best explored by foot.
Due to its unrivalled charm Frigiliana attracts a vast number of tourists during the summer months. Sunny summer days can be spent enjoying a light refreshment in one of its numerous bars and cafes, taking in the sights of some of its enduring processions and fiestas or exploring the area by taking a walk through olive groves, avocado plantations and lines of almond trees.
