Would 100% recommend you stay here! It was like a home from home and it has really made our Christmas! The lodge was fully equipped and was peaceful and quiet.

The lodge is set in a quiet area of farmland just off the main road. The bird feeder in view of the back windows is addictive. Woodpecker, nuthatch and all the other usual suspects plus an apple tree full of fieldfare at the front of the lodge made it a slow start every day.
This is a great place for touring a really beautiful area and a perfect place to take your dog. There is a walk directly from the lodge and then choose forest or beach for the other walks. A week wasn’t long enough to see all the places of interest. And don’t go past the Loch Arthur farm shop just along the road. Filled with lovely produce and serving good coffee.
This was our second stay and we enjoyed it very much. Two 50+, two teenagers and two dogs - all very happy. The lodge is clean, tidy, cosy and very well stocked... plus in a great location. We'll definitely be back! Thanks again Alison.
Very well kept Lodge.
This was our first time at this lodge, very well equipped, with everything you need to enjoy your holiday, very clean, like home from home. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Angela the owner kept in touch, from booking to the day we arrived.
A lovely lodge in a wonderful location.
We often stay in this region and always choose a different place to stay. When we go again we'll stay here. It's so peaceful with lovely views and near all our favourite walks. The lodge itself could not be faulted and it's great watching all the birds that come to feed.
There are lovely beaches all along the Solway coast within a twenty minute drive.
Dumfries is the capital of Dumfries and Galloway which is 6 miles away. It is a very historic burgh. There are many other lovely villages all within a short drive. Loch Arthur Community farm shop is 2 miles away and has won many national awards.
