Piazza Bologna is a square located between Avenue of the provinces and Viale Ventuno Aprile, in Rome's Nomentano district.
The square, dedicated to the capital of Emilia, has a circular shape and covers a central location within the neighborhood; around it, at the beginning of the twentieth century, it developed an area destined to the upper-middle class, characterized by villini four floors with valuable architectural finishes. The advent of fascism on one side consolidated the star system of roads (PRG 1909), on the other it changed the architectural features and the type of population is located, with the creation of condo buildings, enhanced with the significant migration into cities the second World war.
In Piazza Bologna there is the post office built in 1935 by Mario Ridolfi and Mario Fagiolo, and Bologna station of Rome subway (Line B); from here the B1 junction to Piazzale Jonio.
Piazza Bologna has an important role in the novel Zero Core of Light of Eramo.
