A delightfully comfortable self contained private annexe
About Linda Craig
I would like to welcome you to the annexe at Box Tree Cottage. I hope you enjoy your stay and enjoy making the most of the beautiful area. I live adjacent to the annexe and there if needed to help in any way but please be assured that you will be left quietly to enjoy your stay. My favourite walk is along the coast at Keyhaven and the beautiful natural harbour at Bucklers Hard. My family too are there to provide a comfortable and relaxing time for our guests. If any translation is needed, my daughter is a language student and happy to help with french, italian and german.

Very nice and compact
Although small, this is well-designed, bright, modern accommodation. It provided everything we needed, easy parking and within walking distance of the local pub. It was perfect for our two-night stay.
Nice cosy property on outskirts of New Forest
Linda's property is immaculately looked after and Linda as a host is extremely welcoming and helpful. The property is based on the outskirts of the New Forest which makes it ideal for trips into the Forest but also it is within walking distance to the coast for a trip to the beach. The property is ideal for a short stay and used as a base to explore.
EXCELLENT AND PERFECT WEEKEND AWAY
We have just returned from an absolutely perfect weekend away. The cottage was beautifully fitted out and everything you needed was there, It was obvious that a lot of care to every detail had been thought about. The cottage was beautifully clean with a lovely welcoming smell and a little chocolate cake to welcome us !!Linda was very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is perfectly situated for the new forest and there were a lot of leaflets and brochures about the area. Highly recommended
This is a great location for exploring the coastline from Lymington to Milford on Sea, the Hurst Spit and nearby.
Linda is a welcoming host and easy to contact before and during the stay.
The annexe is beautifully kitted out with an exceptionally comfy bed and lovely shower room. It’s warm and cosy, even in December.
The downstairs is pretty small but has everything one needs for a short stay.
I suggest arriving in daylight as the lane is small & narrow and if the host isn’t home, it may be hard to find the key in the dark.
I do hope that you had an enjoyable and restful time whilst staying at Box Tree Cottage and thank you for taking the time to recommend the annexe so highly.
Rest assured, if my guests arrive late or in the dark, they will find automatic lights just above and to the left of the key safe - I will add that information to my preparation sheet. Thank you for bringing that to my attention, it will be helpful for future guests.
With very best wishes for 2019 and I hope to meet you again in the future.
From our first step in to our last step out the whole experience at Box Tree Cottage was wonderful.
There is not enough superlatives in the English language to describe our stay, we will definitely be staying at Box Tree Cottage when we come back down to the New Forest. Linda was lovely and informative about the area. Loved every minute of our week 😀
I was so glad you enjoyed your stay at Box Tree Cottage and your time exploring the New Forest.
I will very much look forward to meeting and welcoming you both again and thank you, for recommending Box Tree Cottage so highly. Very much appreciated.
With very best wishes,
Great location, lovely property, friendly host
Box Tree Cottage annexe is like a miniature house; you have everything, lounge, kitchen, dining area, bedroom and bathroom.
Everything was very clean and tidy we were welcomed and then left to our own devices which was exactly what we wanted.
The property was easy to find from the description and in a great location for exploring the New Forest, taking a day trip into Lymington or crossing over to the Isle of Wight. We did the first two this time and hope to return to do more next year.
Just catching up after a busy summer as I wanted to write and say thank you for such a glowing review - much appreciated!. I am so glad you found Box Tree Cottage comfortable and convenient for your visit to Lymington and the New Forest.
With very best wishes,
I hope you enjoy your stay and enjoy making the most of the beautiful area. You will find a box full of information about all the interesting things to do and see whilst you are here including maps.
Everton village is a quiet and ideal location to explore the New Forest National Park with its picturesque villages.
The sailing town of Lymington provides wonderful walks around its sea wall, great restaurants, cafes and a large variety of shops and boutiques. On Saturday you will find the entire high street is taken over by a market offering high quality local produce, furniture, plants, flowers, clothes - a real interesting browse.
Great places to eat would be Caio Belli in Gosport street which is fantastic for lunch. Either The Ship Inn, The Mayflower and The Kings Head in Lymington are all near the quay and good places for Saturday evening.
Milford on Sea has a small promenade and clean beaches, traditional pubs and cafes - do investigate the Raft on the Rocks cafe/restaurant.
Just half a mile away, Braxton Gardens tea rooms and cafe serves morning coffee, lunches and afternoon teas and all the food served is organic and locally sourced.
We have The Crown in Everton which does a great Sunday lunch and is at the end of our lane.
There are numerous opportunities for walking, cycling and picnics in the beautiful scenery of the New Forest with its natural harbours such Keyhaven, Beaulieu or Bucklers Hard.
