About this property

Newly renovated bungalow on the Wild Atlantic Way 200m off road on an elevated site surrounded by countryside. Looking out on the Atlantic ocean to the front and the Ox mountains to the rear.
Garden to one side and also a sheltered back yard with lawn. Free unlimited Wifi.
The living /dining room is large with beautiful views, TV &DVD player and an open fire.
3 bedrooms - 2 twin and 1 double . Sleeps 6 adults but an extra child may be accommodated.
Travel cot and toddler bed available if required .
Kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer washing machine, microwave & electric oven and hob.
Bathroom has separate shower and bath. Linens included.
Amenities nearby include a safe sandy beach (Dunmoran), surfing, kayaking, SUP, golf and hill walking.
Sligo town is less than a half hours drive.
The Ladies Brae Scenic Drive is close by.
Weekly Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday. Shorter summer rentals can start or end on Saturday.

Wonderful place!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable 3 bedroom bungalow. The place has beautiful views of the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other and spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Amanda and Philip couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It is country living but with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do including the cities of Sligo and Ballina. Great location for walkers & hikers, and those interested in history and archaeology. Very easy to get to a number of stunning beaches, good restaurants and charming cafes. There is so much to see and do but also the opportunity to relax and take it easy. We would return to Sligo and the property again! It is one of our favourite places on the planet.

Great property in a great location

Amanda made us feel welcome right from the start and the house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The wifi was handy and not at all patchy and allowed us to stream netflix on a stormy night in. The views are stunning and the location is within about 20 minutes of Sligo or Enniscrone and about 10 minutes of 3 lovely beaches. This house felt very welcoming and it was like staying in someone's home.

Perfect stay

Wir sind aus familiären Gründen über Silvester nach Sligo gefahren und hätten es nicht besser treffen können. Amanda und ihre Familie sind freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die alles tun, damit ihre Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Haus war sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Alles war tadellos sauber. Auch an den kälteren Tagen nach Neujahr waren die Räume gut beheizbar, warm und gemütlich. Das Haus ist ruhig und landschaftlich schön gelegen, man hat einen tollen Blick. Den Garten konnten wir aufgrund der Jahreszeit nicht nutzen, das ist im Sommer sicherlich noch ein zusätzliches Highlight. Mit dem Auto sind mehrere schöne Strände, die Stadt Sligo und viele weitere Ausflugsziele gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Thank you, Amanda and your family, for making us feel so much welcome at your beautiful house! We had a great time in Aughris and we'd love to come again.

Super schönes Ferienhaus

Super Lage mit tollem Blick über die hügelige Landschaft bis zum Meer. Amanda ist sehr nett und immer erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und bietet viel Platz. Wir kommen wieder 😊

Why they chose this property

So much to see and do nearby. If you are interested in sheep, there are lots of sheep to be seen on the farm. Sligo is a surprising county.
Our property gives a wonderful panoramic view of the best of what Sligo has to offer.... mountains, beaches and fields of sheep.

What makes this property unique

The scenery is beautiful. Very peaceful, rural site for a holiday to "get away" from the hustle of life but within easy driving distance if activities and shops are desired.
