When not in Maui I'm at home in the Bay Area California, perhaps hiking with Buster (my companion in the photo), growing organic fruit and vegetables in my garden, or travelling elsewhere....one of my favorite things to do! I've visited and stayed on 5 of Hawaii's islands and love them all. I love sharing Maui with others and strive to help you have the perfect vacation on our island. Kihei Sands evokes a strong reminiscence of my very first visit to Hawaii as a teenager. It possesses a relaxed charm and friendliness that you simply won't encounter in many other properties. Before I purchased, I looked all over the island at many different complexes and kept coming back to Kihei Sands as being the right choice.

What makes this condo unique

We are right ON the beach! No need to cross a street and carry your belongings. You can hear the ocean at night from your bedroom and you are mere steps away from your front door and into the ocean. For those who seek a quiet and intimate escape, Unit A6 offers the perfect balance of privacy and access to the beach and oceanfront amenities.

After hours and hours of searching for the perfect place for our honeymoon, I came across this hidden gem! The location was excellent, allowing us easy access to both sides of the island for all of the activities we had planned. It has all the comforts of home and then some!!



The kitchen has everything you can possibly need. Some days we cooked breakfast and dinner, which we ate on our private lanai or patio by the beach! The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack and settle in. Tastefully decorated and very clean, there is also an assortment of CD's and books to keep you entertained! This is one of the nicest units in the complex. We met another couple on vacation and they were definitely jealous about how nice our unit was!



Coffee is served out on the patio every morning. The property managers, Maureen and Paul, are very friendly and the atmosphere was great.



The views from the beach are spectacular, with the West Maui mountains to the right, Mt. Haleakala to the left and Molokini to the south. It really gives you a sense of all there is to explore on the island! One special moment for us was sitting on the beach and watching the humpback whales breach the water!



Some of our activies included:

*Bluewater Rafting - owner's recommendation and probably the most fun of the trip!

*Blue Hawaiian Helicopter - West Maui mountains and Molokai tour

*Feast at Lele luau

*Driving - Mt. Haleakala summit sunrise, road to Hana, west Maui mountains

*Pony Express - was cancelled due to weather but looked unbelievable

Grandmas - owner's recommendation, in upcountry. Liked it so much for breakfast we went back twice!

Eskimo Candy - awesome fish and chips



It was hard to say goodbye this unit. We miss the sound of the crashing waves while we sleep. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to everyone we know!! The owner's communication is outstanding and definitely goes above and beyond. Her recommendations were spot on and we absolutely had the time of our lives. If you are coming to Maui, look no further, this is the place to stay!!!

Great condo in great location

My husband and I spent the last two days of our honeymoon at Elen's condo and couldn't of been happier. After a long and busy (not complaining) holiday, it was so nice to walk into a clean, well equipped, and beautifully decorated space. We felt so comfortable, it really allowed us to just hang out and relax for the last couple days of our trip. We had eaten out alot as we had been at a few hotels prior, so having a fully equipped kitchen with supplies and basics was a huge plus and truly welcomed relief. The condo itself is in a great complex, with a beach side deck space to eat dinner, lounge, or socialize with others. The condo is probably 25 feet from here.. another huge perk! Finally, Elen and her housekeeper Wendy were so accommodating and informative. Every attempt was made to ensure we had a great time, had information on the area and activities in Hawaii, and were just overall comfortable and happy. I would suggest this rental, and hope to stay there again soon!

Awesome condo and location!

My boyfriend and i stayed at Elen's condo unit A6 for 3 nights and every second of it was wonderful. The place is very clean, each room was totally updated and beautifully designed. We felt so at home and comfortable that it was hard to leave it behind. Elen gave us a lot of great information on what we can do, the best places to see and eat at which was very helpful. The housekeeper Wendy whom we had a chance to meet briefly is very nice and thorough in making sure everything was neat. I really miss hearing the sounds of the trees and waves day and night. The pool facing the ocean was truly a treat for a gorgeous view. I'm grateful for having a chance to stay at this gorgeous condo and meeting such a nice owner. Mahalo!

Fantastic

We want to tell you that we had a wonderful 15 days staying at Kiehi Sands Unit A6. Unit A6 is a very well maintained and clean unit. The extra things that you provided such as the information package and maps helped to make our stay most enjoyable. Cheri, Jonathan and Karrie were always available to answer any questions you had.

The closeness to the ocean, the great patio setting and the super people that we met at the unit helped to make our stay extra special. It was such a treat to sit on the patio and watch the sun set, watch the whales and then go to sleep hearing the ocean waves crashing on the shore.

The near by farmers market is great and I dare anyone not to fall in love with the taste of apple bananas. We found that staying at Unit A6 you were central to almost any place you wanted to visit on the island.

It was a sad day when we had to leave and the final breakfast on the patio was extra special with the whales putting on a show and the paddlers shouting their chants as they went by.

Would we come back to Maui and Keihi Sands Unit A6, the answer is a very definite yes.

Once again thank you for having such a special place and for making a home away from home for us.

Beautiful and peaceful spot!

We are so happy to have found Kihei Sands in North Kihei, away from the busier beaches on Maui. Our unit, A6, has been completely remodelled this year and is stocked with all the necessities preparing meals, etc. Laundry facilities are steps from the unit, as is the patio and pool. A few more steps from the patio and you are on the beautiful beach. This quiet spot is heaven, which we would like to stay at forever if it were feasible. The managers are always here to answer questions or address any problems (of which we have had NONE). The owner of the unit we are renting goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. Check it out...we love this spot!

Cozy comfort and Beach too!!

Staying at A6 was a wonderful experience. We felt like we were right at home ! All the comforts were there, plus the beautiful UNCROWDED beach! The GM and property manager of Kihei Sands (Karrie and Cheri )were very gracious geniunely nice people.. as is Elen the owner of this property. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Elen suggested Dinas Deli for a drink and bite to eat. Great recommendation! The food was very good so were the Lava Flows!! Its a great place relax at the end of the day and have a glass of wine or two. What more can I say except that we wont look anywhere else to stay. If you want to relax quietly on the beach, enjoy the waves without all the crowds but yet be minutes away from shopping and great dining..this is the place to stay!

Cleaning Fee (a one time cleaning) of $130 applies to all stays.
