Why Kelly and Phil Foltman chose Loudoun County
When you book at The Cottage, you are our only guests. The entire cottage is for you and your guests to enjoy alone (additional fees apply to the third and fourth guests). Relax on the patio or cozy up to the fire pit. Feel free to walk the fields, and explore the wetlands.
What makes this Cottage unique
We have consistently received 5 stars for cleanliness and during this time of COVID we are taking even more precautions including disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces including door handles, light switches, stair railings, remotes, tables and appliances. We also will not book inside of a 48 hour guest window for both our safety and the safety of our incoming guests. In addition, by design of the stand alone cottage, there are no shared spaces and you are our only guests each booking.

A beautiful getaway!
We had a wonderfully relaxing time in this beautifully set cottage. The experience was perfect.
It's a wonderful place, from the cottage to the surrounding farm. The hosts, Phil and Kelly, were welcoming and informative, providing recommendations for food and hiking nearby. Their thoughtful touches to the cottage included fresh scones, fruit, and yogurt for breakfast. The location was perfect for us for hiking around Harpers Ferry and visits to the wineries nearby. We'd love to return sometime!
As advertised, the cottage was a clean and comfortable place to stay.
Thank you Kelly and Philip for a perfect overnight stay at your cottage.
Second time here
The Cottage at Dunthorpe Farm is nestled against the Blue Ridge Mountains within the burgeoning Virginia wine and brewery industry and in the heart of Virginia horse country. History abounds with Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Manassas battle fields and many other historic sites a short drive away.
Other attractions include the Outdoor Adventure Center in Harpers Ferry, WV and hiking on the Appalachian trail. Nearby Leesburg offers an outlet mall, and an historic downtown that includes The Marshall House and Morven Park. Charles Town casino, event center and racetrack to the west, and Middleburg's locally owned shops, dining and the equestrian and hunting museum to our south are less than a half our drive.
