Lovely traditional croft house in an idyllic part of Skye
Beautiful cottage in a great location with stunning views from the living room. It is truly a place to relax and unwind. A week was not long enough so we hope to return soon.
Exceptional property that allows one to experience the rural highland Scottish experience. As advertised and more
Wonderful views, great position and attention to detail
Really great base for seeing the beautiful island of Skye. We will definitely be visiting the island again.
IDeal setting for a relaxing retreat
The cottage is located in a less tourist busy area on the south end of Skye quite off the main road to Armadale and the ferry. The view from the living room is breathtaking. I often sat there hours watching the sunrise, the Loch and the mountains on mainland. The cottage is well catered and Helen is the ideal caring owner. All amnemnities that you need are provided. Excellent bed and hot shower. I really enjoyed the 4 weeks Of my stay and want to go back next year.
The cottage fulfilled all our needs for a perfect holiday on Skye. It was warm and dry so welcome in the wind and rain. The living room space and view are magical. Can’t wait to return.
Charming, quiet, and peaceful
Everything we needed was provided, the space was more than adequate for 2 people, comfortable and with views that made each morning a pleasure to wake up to. Quiet and calm, we loved staying here and I'm very sad to have to leave. Thank you for such a memorable place to stay.
West Cottage is situated in upper Teangue, a quiet and secluded part of the Sleat Peninsula, with views across the Sound of Sleat to Knoydart. Sleat is known as 'the garden of Skye' and is the perfect base to stay. Ideal for walking, photography, boating and various water sports or just watching the wildlife. There is a reasonably well stocked grocer in Ardvasar (5 miles) and a large Co-op in Broadford (14 miles). There are several good restaurants within a short drive: Toravaig House is just at the bottom of the hill, Hotel Eilean Iarmain at Isle Ornsay (5 miles) offers both restaurant dining and has an atmospheric bar serving pub food and the Michelin starred Kinloch Lodge lies between Teangue and Broadford.
