We are former college English teachers who love the southwest. We live in Tesuque, just north of Santa Fe.
Glynn purchased this House in 2000
Why Glynn chose Youngsville
Having been in love with the southwest for a long time, we found this site in 2000 and it was more beautiful than any of the places we had seen--or have seen since-- during our travels throughout this extraordinary part of the country.
What makes this House unique
Peace, quiet, relaxation, endless views and walks, time to read and be creative. After that, explore the villages, cultures and wilderness in and beyond Abiquiu.

My wife and I had the perfect getaway vacation. Highly recommended! Thank you for opening your home.
The property was just as described. We had a wonderful vacation!
If you can get there, you won't want to leave.
This little adobe house is about 900sf and contains everything anyone could want or need during a get-away or sabbatical. And it's a good thing it does, because getting here takes some effort. But it's sooooo worth it. You are on top of a mesa with a couple other homes that are so far away you can't hear them or see much going on "over there." The feeling is one of wide openness and privacy at the same time. The hot tub is *hot* and not wimpy (yay!) and you can see the Milky Way at night. It's quiet and peaceful and yet you feel like you're out in the elements--in this case, the high desert with its winds and clouds and wide open spaces and signature NM flora and fauna. We spent 11 nights there and only left a few times for provisions or field trips. Highly recommended for the adventurous nature lover!
We came back!
My son and I were here May, 2016. We found the casita just as enchanting as it was then. The views are as spectacular and the house as relaxing as ever. If you want a get away in Georgia O'Keefe country, this is the place to be. Just a few miles from Abiquiu and the same from Ghost Ranch. Would recommend it without reservation.
Such a cute place to stay. The views are tremendous. My two dogs had a great time sniffing out all the new smells. Each morning we saw rabbits, and the afternoon brought birds to watch. The neighbors are close enough to know you aren't alone, but far enough away to give you plenty of privacy and an escape from the city life. You may never want to leave!
The property owner provided excellent communication. The property was better than the pictures and description! The house is lovely and the VIEW is breathtaking. We so enjoyed watching the sunset change the colors of the mountains as we sipped wine on the back porch. Best of all was soaking in the hot tub under the milky way - it is a memory we will treasure forever.
I never tire from reading these responses. The first time I walked up to the top of this mesa, I cried. Now I smile every time we share this most magnificent of sites, with its 360 degree views, knowing its available to so many people to enjoy.
Had a quiet, peaceful, relaxing honeymoon with the new hubs! Loved relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. We had a cute furry visitor, Dakota the white poodle, which was a lovely treat because we left our pup behind and missed her lots! Glynn and Scott were excellent hosts and had great communication/accommodations. We will be back!
