Dixie Lullaby is the perfect romantic getaway, this spacious 1 bedroom cabin is nestled in the tall pines of the Ouachita Forest. Snuggle up to a cozy fire in the living room, on the outdoor patio or at the fire pit, let the jets of the outdoor hot tub massage you while you enjoy a glass of wine. Or get out of the cabin and head to the lake or river for some fly fishing or a day on the boat. The hiking trails along side the river cannot be missed any time of year! About Mendy Tapp
My husband and I are born and raised Texans, we have two young girls that keep us really busy with school activities and fun! Jeff went to Austin College in Sherman and I (Mendy) went to Dallas Baptist University and then UT for my MBA. We currently live in McKinney, TX and love music, traveling and keeping up with our kids and family.

Why Mendy Tapp chose Oklahoma
We fell in love with Broken Bow about 3 years ago when we visited for the first time and after a year or so, we decided to build this cabin. We wanted something unique that really represented the feeling we wanted to have when we were in Broken Bow so we have added authentic barn wood, local blue pine and rock and our own few touches to make it special.
What makes this cabin unique
This spacious cabin has windows every where you look! Being from the city, my favorite thing to do is wake up and just look around at all of the trees, they go on for miles and miles. We have an outdoor wood burning fireplace as well as a fire pit, so the opportunity for S'mores are endless. There is also an outdoor hottub with a private cabana. Living Room and Bedroom have 55" 4K HDTVs and the cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer and wifi.

Excellent get-away for couple time
As with many of the previous guests, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and just wanted time away. The cabin is conveniently located and a short drive to the lake, river, trails, and restaurants, however, we found ourselves just wanting to sit around and relax enjoying the tranquility of the cabin, both indoors and out. The light show from the lightning bugs is spectacular whether at the fire pit making smores, sitting at the table on the patio, or sitting in the hot tub. While the evenings were wonderful, the mornings were just as peaceful. We had a hard time leaving the cabin as it was easy to get lost in conversation while sipping coffee and listening to the birds. The cabin is well equipped and has everything that is needed, from cooking to bathing. We didn't have cell service in Broken Bow (TMobile), so the wifi was essential to keep connected and on top of things at home (it reminded us of how intrusive cell phones really are). The cabin is located relatively close to the front of the community on great roads, so access is quick and easy. There is ample parking for a boat. Overall, this is a great property in a great location with owners who care. We will be back!

Was so impressed with the design and decor of the cabin and convenience to the lake and restaurants. The day I arrived, I was delighted to have a call from the owner making sure everything was satisfactory! Wow-that was a first and very grateful!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely gorgeous cabin!!
This was our second time staying at the Dixie Lullaby. It is our absolute favorite cabin to stay in at Broken Bow. It perfect for a weekend just for two. Thank you Tapp family for sharing this luxurious cabin with us!

My wife and I celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary with our stay at the Dixie Lullaby. The cabin is very nice and was perfect for our get away together. The accommodations are perfect for a couple to enjoy, especially the hot tub. The weather did not cooperate for outdoor activities so we enjoyed working on a puzzle together on the large island in the kitchen. This was our first time to the Broken Bow area, and we look forward to visiting again.

The options for your adventures are endless. Rent a boat and go out on the lake, fly fish in Mountain Fork River, fish for bass, whitewater, canoe, hike, horseback ride, hunt, ride ATVs or play a round of golf.
