I was born and raised in Vancouver Canada where I studied for an Engineering Physics degree from the University of British Columbia. I now call San Diego, California home and enjoy the nice weather, golf, and beaches we have around here. I have 2 vacation rental properties on Kauai and I have other long term rentals which have helped me understand how best to keep my residents happy. I treat my guests and tenants as I would want to be treated myself. I try to maintain my properties to provide comfort and ensure an overall enjoyable experience. Of course I enjoy traveling and usually find it is not a vacation for resting but more focused on seeing the sights, trying new things, and learning about local cultures.

Why Tony Cannon chose Kapaa
My first tropical destination coming from Canada was Hawaii. Ever since then it has had a soft place in my heart. I like the laid back lifestyle of Hawaii and the friendly people. I have visited 4 of the islands, and Kauai feels the most exotic. I chose the Islander on the Beach because the suites have been nicely renovated and it is a great location to explore either north or south on the island. My #222 is an end unit so I like having one less wall shared and the additional lighting (and ocean view) from the extra window. The location of the resort is great because it is across the street from the Coconut Marketplace with shops and restaurants. Plus there are many other restaurants, bars, groceries, equipment rentals, bus stop, and more within a few minutes walking.

Ocean view. Quiet location. 2nd floor so only 1 flight of stairs but more security, better view, and less bugs than on the ground floor. End unit has an extra window and one less wall shared.

Damage and incidentals
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.
Most importantly comfy bed with overhead fan and a/c. Bathroom spacious and clean with good water pressure. Small kitchenette with toaster oven microwave coffee maker and small fridge. Good size closet and dresser for your clothes. Good location for exploring the island. There is a great grocery store very close with a good selection of prepared food. We would definitely stay here again
Very clean, and easily accessible. Excellent view of the water ( even better than what the pictures showed.
My wife and I used this as our "launch pad" for visiting the island- it was a great spot.
For me the property was perfectly located between Smith's Family Gardens and Kapa'a Beach Park. Very clean and comfortable unit. Pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was at night. Would go to sleep at 8 pm and leave the sliding doors open. Only heard waves.
Great condo with amazing ocean view
I have stayed on this property before in other independently owned units so I knew what to expect in terms of property amenities and layout. What made Tony's condo stand out was the amazing view of the ocean from the bed - pretty special!
The condo had everything I needed for my stay. Umbrellas, chairs, cooler & towels for my days at the beach and a comfortable bed for a great sleep. The kitchenette was well equipped with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster oven and all dishes I could ever need.
I didn't have any issues finding parking in the lot closest to the building - I usually returned from my day between 3 & 5 pm.
Some great restaurants within walking distance and the newly renovated Coconut Marketplace was a bonus on this trip as last time I was in Kauai it was still under construction.
Great spot right on the beach next to good restaurants and coffee shop. Pool bar was fun. Place was small but worked great for us.
