A very quiet cottage tucked away in the country. Keep your eyes peeled. Your always bound to see something. Whether it be deer, bulls, cows, longhorns, axis and even porky pines. The cottage is very homey and provides everything you need to relax and feel comfortable. The fridge was even stocked with treats as well. At night it’s completly dark so make sure your outside to see the stars overhead. The only thing you’ll have on your mind when leaving, is when can I come back to this little cottage.
The down side
Before booking I read every review & agree with everything they said however there a a few things that we didn't like.
1) Bathroom - the toilet & shower are raised about 6" off the ground. Therefore you when in the toilet I can't reach the ground and I'm 5'8". Getting out of the shower was dangerous & long ways down. The bathtub is completely surrounded by a shower curtain on both sides so it is constantly touching you (gross).
2) Stairs- I called them the death trap. They are different highs and the bottom 3 have no handrail. Also no baluster only a handrail, so a little scary.
3) Kitchen - if you are going to cook bring your own spices. We found salt, season salt, lemon pepper & tenderize. A few cooking utensils are provided.
4) NO Wi-Fi & very little mobile signal
Nature and tranquility
This charming cabin is perfect for a relaxing, tranquil, back-to-nature getaway. If you want to drink your morning coffee or sip your evening wine while communing with nature, this is the perfect spot. The interior is comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and the host provides welcoming touches such as baked cookies, breakfast items and bottled water and soda. The loft bedroom is comfy, complete with quilts, fluffy pillows, books to read and huge windows to view the starts or nature. I will definitely return.
Beautiful, cozy and like home!
We stayed here for a long weekend while enjoying Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock and San Antonio. Enjoyed our stay so much. Bonnie has went to lengths to make it feel like home with all of the little touches like snacks and yummy baked goods in the fridge! Lots of wildlife to view while going into town as the little cabin is far enough out to be in the serene country but close enough to town to enjoy Fredericksburg restaurants, wineries and shopping! Would definitely stay at Bonnie’s Starry Night again!
Wonderful, quiet, peaceful, secluded little home surrounded by wildlife
Exactly what we were looking for-a quiet, secluded place away from it all. If privacy and peaceful surroundings are what you desire, this is the perfect place! Our only neighbors were the deer, longhorn cattle, turkey, redbirds and squirrels. Perfect get-away weekend, so relaxing and calm. And, it was an easy, beautiful 15-20 minute drive to Fredericksburg's Main St. Cute, little quaint home with the perfect outside area for grilling and enjoying dinner and comfy chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings (and stars at night). We loved it!!
The place to be for peace and quiet, yet close enough to all the fun!
Wonderful host, and a cozy spot to get away from it all.
