Nice cozy cabin...great for 2-4 people.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 3 (+ pup) enjoyed our 3 night stay in Bass Cabin. The cabin is a bit rustic but really nice and cozy. The beds were comfy but I wish there had been a bit more water pressure in the shower. The kitchen was well stocked (perhaps too much so with unnecessary item and junk food). Missed having a nice table where we could eat together comfortably. Loved having the cabin cat around outside not to mention the other oudoor critters.

WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY WEEKEND AT THE CABIN

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent my birthday weekend at the Bass Cabin. We had a fantastic time. I've rented a lot of houses from VRBO and Cathy is definitely the best host. She made me a delicious cake for my birthday. We had a great time riding around the Perserve in the golf cart. Cathy even had bait in the fridge for us to use. The fishing was great. The cabin is very cozy. I can't say enough good things about Cathy and the cabin. If you are looking for a cabin in the mountain, this is the place to stay.

Loved Every Minute of It

  • 5 of 5

Our family (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 preteen) stayed at this cabin recently and it was really perfect. Having 2 bathrooms for us is a MUST and it was so nice that one of the bathrooms was attached to the master bedroom. The kitchen is a little small so more than 1 or 2 people and your bumping into one another, but it is fully stocked with anything you need to cook with which is really the most important thing! If the weather is nice there is tons of deck space to spread out into. We LOVED using the fire pit on the deck off the master bedroom for smores and she had starter logs and wood to keep it going.

We had to text with questions a few times and the owners were so helpful. They have the Dish satellite so we were able to watch the UGA smack down over Florida while there with no reception issues. She has dozens of movies which we watched some of those as well. This would be a great cabin if someone had someone who couldn't do hills or stairs, you walk in at ground level and with master on bottom floor it could be real easy access.

We loved it! Very quiet neighborhood.

Nature Lovers Paradise

  • 5 of 5

When you stay at Bass Cabin you are treated as a pampered guest rather than a vacation home renter. Cathy provides you with a stocked pantry and enough food in the fridge for a breakfast and at least one meal. Who does that? This wonderful hostess does! You have the amenities of a luxury hotel with the linens and toiletries provided even to the bathrobes. The cabin itself is so warm and cozy with its porches for sitting and enjoying the scenery and a fire. Beds are very comfy and the bathrooms are beautifully updated. The fishing is great! The location is peaceful and a short drive to all the local sightseeing spots. It is a place to unwind, reboot and enjoy nature. We are already looking forward to our next trip there.

Me, 4 Kids and 1 Dog

  • 5 of 5

I can't even begin to express how amazing this rental was!!! The kids and I have stayed at several rental properties over the years throughout NC and GA, and hands down this was the absolute best stay I have ever experienced!!! I've realized ITS NOT ALWAYS JUST ABOUT THE HOUSE OR THE LOCATION.... this property owner was the ABSOLUTE BEST EVER!!!! I wish I could rate her separately and give her 5 stars as well!!!

The list of reasons why this rental was amazing is truly endless but I will try to minimize it as best I can..... 1) the pantry is full and available to guest... of course I bought my own stuff for the first night before heading to the grocery but it was nice to see she had BBQ sauce to go with the pulled pork, as I couldn't locate mine. 2) The kids loved that she provided all the needs for smore's and fire wood, and there's a fire pit on the porch with chairs to enjoy 3) The kids also loved that she had tons of movies (DVDs) 4) She so kindly stocked the fridge with sodas and waters, food..... AND EVEN WORMS as she knew the kids would want to fish. 5) The house had everything!!! and I mean everything; comfy blankets, the beds were amazing (the master is above and beyond amazing) The outside grill is great and she even provides a backup propane tank. 5) The kids loved the lakes all over the area. We enjoyed taking our kayaks to every single one!! It was so enjoyable we could stay on the property and do so much.... and ride bikes! 6) Up most and foremost too.... the people in the area are extremely kind and friendly!!! The kids had a great time talking with them. Half way through our week stay we had accumulated a ton of trash. Well, the neighbor asked if we had anything to go to the dump because he was going, I thought that was extremely thoughtful of him.

As for restaurants in the area.... everyone should go to the Cornerstone Restaurant in Rising Fawn... several times. Their breakfast and dinner was amazing.... and so reasonable!

Again, I can't say enough about this Property!!! ID 819527... It was truly the best we have every, every stayed at!!
