South Burgundy is probably the most beautiful part of Burgundy: a wavy landscape with vineyards, forests, hedges, churches and chapels. Because the roads do not go too steep, it is a great area for hikers and cyclists, while nature lovers and birdwatchers get well-dragged. Our village is a short distance from St. Gengoux-le-National and villages such as Taizé and towns like Buxy and Cluny are within easy reach. Chalon-sur-Saone, with its monuments, museums and restaurants, is a half-hour drive
The house was built around 1800 as a wine farm. It was pressed and stored in vessels. This is yet to be recognized in the interior. We have half of the large building and since 1995 we have restored it. Result: a charmingly furnished house with "knight room", lounge, dining kitchen, dining room, bathroom and two bedrooms. In the morning the sun sets on our breakfast terrace under the "galérie" and in the afternoon and in the evening we have the sun on the large terrace. The rooms are all spacious. If the company is larger than 4 persons, extra beds can be provided with extra beds. In the "hall", the former barn with a height of 5 meters, an ancient burgundian chimney has been built, in which the wood stove is placed. The crystal luchter provides this space a huge allure!
Under the same roof, but 30 meters away, the mayor of our village lives, who together with his wife carefully monitors us and takes care of the guests.
