Kevin grew up in Cornwall and together we have spent a lot of time here and want us and our children to have a base as well as somewhere that others can enjoy.

Why Owner chose Saint Ives
The sea views took our breath away and it ticked all the boxes we were looking for in terms of location, size and potential.
What makes this Apartment unique
The view! And in our opinion how we have designed and renovated the property.

Over all a good stay - I would give it 3 & a half stars - would stay again!
We stayed a week at this property and would rate it 3 and a half stars . There were little things that were abit of a inconvenience, for example Not having too much hot water for a couple of days, so we had to keep on pressing the boost button each time we had a shower, there wasnt a tea pot provided (for tea lovers), Unfortunately the hallway leading up to the stairs smelt and was very dark and dingy. The road the property is on can be quite noisy. Apart from that the property is in a great location and close to the station car park. When we had problems with the water the owner was very quick to respond, the property was very clean. Over all we had a great time and would stay again.
Room With A View - stylish, comforable. Prefect!
What an amazing space! This apartment (along with the incredible weather) made our holiday in St Ives extra special this year. The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into making this a wonderful place to stay and it really makes a difference. The beds are lovely and comfy, with quality duvets and linen, plenty of towels too. The kitchen is well stocked with all the items you need for cooking, although I must admit that with all the fantastic restaurants nearby we only ate in once (I can highly recommend The Bier Huis over the road amd the bakery/cakery arou d the corner, amongst other places).
The jewel in the crown for Porthside is obviously the view and the location. I imagine that even if we had a wet and rainy day or two we would have enjoyed watching it from that massive window.
All in all, I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for an incredible stay in your beautiful Home Away.
A very nice clean and modern flat, the picture window is wonderful we enjoyed looking out for ssaid.
A very good position, and a lovely styled flat, although entry way let's it down. Also a reminder notice on outer door to ask visitors to use their keys to lock it when they leave, could be a good idea.
We enjoyed early evening walks and gin and tonics at the cocktail & gin bar on porthminster beach and frequented local restaurants every night, many to choose from and they were all wonderful.
I think the apartment misses good hanging space, a over bath rail for swimwear and a dustpan and brush. Also disappointed we weren't asked to recycle our rubbish?! Apart from that all our needs were met.
Sandwiches and general yummy foods are available at the local deli. The children's favourite was the Mexican restaurant (the mex) and we loved the porthminster beach restaurant, amazing service and truly delicious food.
St Ives is so beautiful although busy in August and the seagulls made our beach lunch interesting!
We will certainly be back. Thank you Jess.
The appartment was well located with fantastic views of the harbour
We loved the appartment, the only downfall was storage for clothes, with only a few hooks on the wall in both bedrooms and no wardrobe space it did make it difficult, especially in the children’s room , having to live out of the suitcase, which had to be lifted on and off the bed each day to search for outfits and to try to manoeuvre around it to get into the bed.
The living area was lovely, and the position of the flat couldn’t have been better.
Excellent location of property, minimal walking to the town and beaches.
Breathing taking views of the bay, a total focus of time spent in the apartment.
Well equipped, a pepper grinder would have been the cherry on top, but we easily resolved this.
Easy for access to all shops, art galleries and beaches, no need of the car once we had unpacked.
Cliff top walks within easy distance from the apartment.
Lots of books on the bookcases.
Will definitely return.
Lovely short break
We stayed at this lovely 2 bed apartment, which is located right in the centre of St Ives (literally a 5 min walk to the harbour), for 4 nights in June. The lounge is cosy with fantastic view out across the bay with Godrevy lighthouse clearly visible in the distance, a lovely way to just chill on the sofa and enjoy the ever changing scenery, and there is an open planned kitchen / diner at one end of the room.
The apartment has two well decorated bedrooms (a double & a twin) and whilst ideal for a family of four it may well feel a little cramped for two couples. You access the apartment by climbing a couple of flights of stairs so please bear this in mind but you are rewarded with the wonderful views. The apartment is located down a narrow street so there is no parking close to the apartment (the street didn’t 't tend to be very busy so we did manage to stop outside to unload when we arrived and did the same when leaving) but there is a car park 5 mins walk away at the railway station (c£8/day) but bear in mind this does get busy - there are other alternatives throughout the town centre but just further away.
The host left us some lovely biscuits, tea coffee and milk and the Wi-Fi is good and available throughout the property. The only down side is the communal entrance / hallway which is dark and smelt of damp following a recent leak but once you reach the apartment it was lovely.
We had breakfast in the apartment (there are a couple of Co-Op stores very close by so easy to stock up; we can strongly recommend their croissants!) and ate out in the evening (we can recommend both the Portminster Cafe & their sister restaurant the Porthminster Kitchen).
