Spacious bright two bedroom condo with a view of the ocean and mountains. It has been newly renovated and professionally decorated situated in the heart of Kitsilano. Walk out your door to West 4th where you will find many coffee shops, clothing and outdoor retail, grocery stores, along with many casual and fine dining restaurants . Our condo is located above a local favourite flower shop called Celsia florist.
If you walk north down Arbutus Str from our condo you are 4 blocks from the beach, which also has an amazing new and large playground for children. In addition you will also find Canada's largest outdoor pool situated right on the ocean with mountain views.
The living room has a 50” internet-enabled Smart TV with Netflix, Wifi, a pullout queen
sofabed, laptop desk. We have a Sony music player that connects via bluetooth/wifi to your smartphone so you can play your own music.
Each of the two bedrooms have comfy Hilton-hotel-quality queen sized beds with hotel quality linens, cozy down duvets and both down-filled and polyfill pillows.
There are two bright bathrooms, one with a shower, one with a shower and bathtub. Both have radiant in-floor heating and hair dryers.
The suite has its own washer and dryer, 10 foot high ceilings, a long spacious entryway and 1,150 square feet of space, all to yourself.
We know you'll want to eat-in during your stay so the kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook at home....pots, pans, toaster, plates, cutlery, rice bowls, rice cooker, blender, and even a kid-friendly plastic set of plates and cups. For your convenience there's an iron, ironing board, vacuum, and recycling bins, a play pen that can be used as crib (upon request), portable high chair and a starter supply of laundry and dishwasher detergent, garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels.
Our apartment uses charming radiators for heat, and there is no air conditioning, but both bedrooms have windows you can leave open, and we supply tower fans if the weather turns hot.
Come and go as you please and enjoy full privacy. The front and back doors have digital locks, so no keys are required to pick up, drop off.
We do ask all our guests to be respectful of the other long-term tenants that share the building.
Our location is fantastic, situated on the trendy West 4th Avenue, in the sought after neighbourhood of Kitsilano, and just a short walk to the fabulous Kitsilano Beach. Our neighbourhood even has its own app, ShopWest4th, which you might want to download from Google apps or Itunes! We're centrally located, close to downtown, Stanley Park, and the University. Outside your door are great restaurants, and lots of shops for trend setters and outdoor enthusiasts. You can walk to the tourist mecca of Granville Island Market, and it's a short 10 minute drive or bus trip to downtown, Robson Street, English Bay, the University of British Columbia, and more.
Coming for the beach experience? If you want sandy beaches and to sunbathe, hang out with the younger crowd, swim laps or let the kids splash in a wading pool, walk 10 minutes down the hill to the famous Kits Beach, the home of the Celebration of Light fireworks competition every July and August, the Kitsilano Boatshow, and Bard on the Beach (Shakespeare in the Park). If you want to rent a sailboat, ocean kayak, paddleboard or skimboard…its just a short 10 minute drive to Jericho Beach. If you prefer volleyball, beach barbeques, long walks, jogging, or watching spectacular sunsets and dogs frolicking in the surf, then drive past Jericho and Locarno beaches to the famous Spanish Banks Beach.
Like shopping? You’re close to lots! From our door it’s literally a 10 second walk to the best part of trendy West 4th Avenue where you can shop for groceries at Whole Foods (for organics) or Safeway, for workout clothes at Lululemon, for outdoor gear at a number of shops, casual wear at Roots, buy a Vancouver keepsake at Oh My Gift, pick up something for the kids at Hip Baby or The Candy Aisle, relax at a spa, and much much more. We love walking to the world famous tourist mecca of Granville Island Market for our fresh produce and baked goods, artisan crafts or to take in live theater or eat at the Sandbar or Bridges restaurants. Or walk about 10 minutes to Broadway and McDonald where there's more interesting shops for old and young, markets and restaurants. Hop on the bus across the street and in about 10 minutes you’ll be downtown where you can shop the famous Robson Street, the Bay, Holt Renfrew, Pacific Centre, or Nordstroms. Or take the bus (or walk) to South Granville, another great place to shop and check out the art galleries.
Are you a foodie? There are TONS of great restaurants, ethnic eateries, organic cafes and even vegetarian diners within walking distance - on West 4th Avenue, Broadway, and Cornwall (along Kits Beach). For beach and sunset views eat at the Boathouse Restaurant on Kits Beach. A 3 minute walk will get you to your morning latte at Starbucks or Whole Foods. Brown's Social House and Roland's are both popular, or splurge and eat at the posh Bishops. A Beer, Wine, and Spirits shop is part of Biminis pub across the street.
Relying on the bus? There are bus stops within a 30 second walk that will get you to a skytrain station, downtown, to shopping, or to the university. Vancouver has a great transit system with a skytrain that goes to Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster and the airport. Why drive downtown when you can hop on a bus and get there in 10 minutes?
Want to bike? We suggest renting from Comfor two blocks away, and then biking to Stanley Park and around the seawall for a true Vancouver experience.
Have a car? There's a parking spot reserved for your suite in the back alley about a 1 minute walk from the condo . Otherwise, it's street parking only in a neighbourhood that has side-street parking for non-residents.
We'll need a phone number of the guest booking to stay in contact with you during your stay (by email, phone, or text) and confirmation of how many guests will be staying, so we can leave enough starter supplies for you.
