About Preston, Mgr
The Gasaway family have owned the main house, barns, and acreage since 2004. We built the Stuga (guest house) from the ground up in 2017. Our daughter and son in law live on property, along with their black lab, and golden doodle. Preston manages The Stuga on behalf of the family.
Preston, Mgr purchased this Farmhouse in 2017
Why Preston, Mgr chose Norman
We have been associated with this property for over 20 years. This is our pride and joy, a play-ground for us, a place to make family memories. We have had many friends stay here, and they, as we, feel that Coyote Ridge is indeed a place that can restore the soul. In addition, it provides easy access to all that Norman, OK has to offer. It is a special place that we are happy to share.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Besides being five minutes to the University of Oklahoma, this is country living in town, a sort of private Central Park. This simple, quiet, "step back in time" experience is a rarity in today's hustle/bustle living. The fishing is great, the nature trails are beautiful, the rooster is crowing. We have a host of farm animals including two donkeys, a rescue pony and horse, two goats, ducks, chickens, and a rescued barn cat community. Jill, the caretaker, comes out daily to tend to the animals. Kids are welcome to assist her in their care.

Awesome farm house with real farm animals and a pond
We were in town for an OU football game so of course everything was busy and expensive. We needed three beds and this had it for a reasonable price. The location is on the edge of town immediately next door to the NCED Marriott conference center. I believe you can use the gym there for ten bucks a day though we did not do that. Also a cafeteria at the Marriott though we did not go there either. There is a brand new sidewalk out front so easy to walk there as it is literally next door. I am sure the people at Marriott heard our roosters in the morning! Walked to the OU football stadium one morning. It's a bit over 3 miles but flat and sidewalks connecting it the whole way. The farm house is updated and nice. It has just one bathroom but was very adequate with tons of nice towels to use. There was good Wifi and a cabinet of games to play. There is a pond and a variety of farm animals. Owners are friendly. All good in our book. No complaints from us!
This property is AMAZING! Preston was very responsive to any questions we had and answered any correspondence almost immediately. The Stuga was perfect for the 3 of us and our dog. There were brownies awaiting us upon our arrival. The lake was beautiful and there were plenty of birds to identify for birders. We fished everyday and caught bass and bluegills. We were in Norman last year and fished Lake Thunderbird with some success, but it was not as fun as this pond. We were not able to out smart the big bass we would see feeding close to shore in the mornings, but it was fun trying. It was nice to be around large farm animals again. All were friendly and some would come up to you for some attention. We could pet some of the barn cats - others were very reclusive. There was a covered carport available for us to park our vehicle. I think it rained everyday, so that was nice. Overall, this has been the best HomeAway property we have ever stayed at. If we find ourselves in Norman again we will definitely stay here again! Very relaxing and a great place to unwind from our busy lifestyle.
This stay was like a little slice of heaven.
Preston was very quick to respond. The cabin was very comfortable and welcoming. The landscape and farm animals were wonderful. Very convenient to OU and town. I would highly recommend staying here and plan to do so if I should return to Norman.
Great oasis, excellent place to stay even if you're traveling for business
This well-thought-out little guest house provided everything we could've asked for during our stay. Preston was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I'm not much for words, but in a nutshell, we're totally going to stay here again when we come back next year! If you have kids, they're going to love the loft area. The beds were just fine and there were ample pillows. Plenty of hot water. Loved the peaceful scenery and the small amount of time we got to spend watching the animals hang out.
Thanks so much for staying with us, we hope to see you again soon!

Great place to stay!
This was our first visit to Coyote Ridge and the Stuga. We couldn’t have been more pleased! Very clean and everything you could possibly need. Our hosts were very friendly and informative. The animals were very well behaved and patient with my dog. Having the fenced in yard for him to run around in was great. We now have a new go to place when visiting Norman. Oh, and the brownies that greeted us were delicious!
Very nice clean and personal
An ice storm hit while there so we mostly stayed in. The owners made contact with us often offering amenities and seeing if they could offer us anything. The property was clean homely and very comfortable. The animals on the property were just as charming. If you need a touch of home or a few days away from the busy corporate world or just to slow and relax this is one place you wouldn't want to miss...
Namaste ps the restaurants in the area were also friendly and of good quality
This property is within 5 minutes driving distance to The University of Oklahoma and is an ideal location for a medium sized group attending activities there. It is adjacent to a large hotel and conference center that offers a cafeteria and daily spa and gym rates.
