Perfect Private Getaway
If you are looking for a private getaway look no further!
Jagalust Landing is perfectly situated on Osbrook Point; the house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Master bedroom / bath is gorgeous, additional bedrooms are nice as well. The kitchen is somewhat small but still completely functional with a lovely dining / living room area to relax in. Wrap around porch is great for early morning deer watching and coffee!
With a short walk on the property to the dock we were able to enjoy the water every day (perfect weather our week there). The owners were very accomodating as we brought our boat with us on vacation. Fresh fish caught almost daily and easily fileted on the cutting station at the dock. It was a perfect and much needed week of R&R.
Only drawback - and quite minor - was the long bumpy dirt road into the property.
Great summer week
A special place - on the water, with a dock, but set back in the trees - which minimizes the water view, but is more than made up for by the gorgeous space between the house and the water - especially for the birders among our party. Wonderful great room/dining area, with a small but serviceable kitchen, a fabulous master bedroom/bath/walk in closet, plus three other bedrooms made the stay for our party of eight perfect. We look forward to coming again next summer!
Wonderful house on the river
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house was neat and clean. There were plenty of dishes, pots, pans, linens, towels, soap, and pretty much anything else you might need. The location is somewhat remote, and the long road is badly potholed, so you might want to plan your days ahead of time to minimize the number of times you need to drive to and from the house. If you like rowing, the river is right out back, and there are two kayaks and a canoe for use. (We had chilly, rainy weather the entire time so we didn’t get an opportunity to use them.) It’s about a 20-minute drive to the nearest public beach in RI. The owners are very responsive to any concerns or questions you might have.
Celebrated the wedding of our son at this great home.
Perfect reunion location
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home. Everything we needed was provided and there was ample room for 6 of us to relax. An abundance of nature surrounds the property. A lovely retreat which we would love to revisit.
This was the perfect location and home to spend Thanksgiving with family. The house was equipped with almost everything we needed. The open concept inside was perfect for hosting a group of 10. The views of the water were seen from all but one room. I would definitely come back here.
Close to Mystic/Groton, Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun casinos and Stonington wine trail. Less than an hour to Newport and Block Island ferries.
