Overview

About the property

4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Waterfront Home That Sleeps 10 With Dock.

Entering this private location and home, guests have initially commented on the beautiful setting and the peacefulness that comes from stepping onto the property. Our home sits on 4 ½ acres in a private waterfront community named “Osbrook Point” in Stonington Ct. Bordered on 2 sides by preserved woodlands and the Pawcatuck River on another, the house sits upon a knoll and the views and property look out down a gentle slope toward the river where one has access to a private dock and float for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wonderful views. The view across the river is of Watch Hill. Boaters will have direct access to open waters for fishing, boating or beaching at local beaches or at “Sandy point”, a small island which is also a nature preserve. The boat dock is suitable for a boat up to 26 feet. There is fresh water and electricity at the dock.

Our home sleeps ten guests with four bedrooms and two full baths. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one with twin beds and a pull out couch in the living room. There is a laundry room and pantry for your convenience. It is an open concept home with water views from most rooms, a large deck for relaxing and barbecuing and a large yard to entertain and enjoy friends and family in a safe and secluded neighborhood. While it is in an ideal location for entertaining, this is not a party house.

The homes location allows renters to enjoy a natural setting with wildlife and the river with views to Weekapaug and Watch Hill. It is close to historic Stonington Borough, Mystic with its Seaport and Aquarium, Napatree and Misquamicut Beaches and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and local wineries. The house is a short drive to Rhode Island where numerous beaches and RI activities abound. The house location and area has many enjoyable and scenic areas to hike or bike ride.

It was everything we wanted and more!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great long weekend at Jagalust! The house was very well provisioned for cooking and was very roomy and comfortable! It has a nice dock on a beautiful waterfront and is a great place to sit and enjoy the view and watch birds. The owners quickly responded to a question that we had. We would love to come back sometime!

Loved it? We more than loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely beautiful property! Lawn goes down hill to water with dock that overlooks Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and abounds with egrets and cormorants. The house is completely "ready to move into" with every possible item you'd need in your own home including fully equipped kitchen and laundry, very comfortable beds and bedding and plush towels, tasteful and comfortable furnishings, and even a pencil sharpener should your brow pencil need a new point like my sister-in-law's did as we readied for my older son's wedding. Many, many thanks to the homeowners. We look forward to booking a week or two in 2018!

A Sanctuary

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home in a tranquil setting was the ideal location for our family enjoying a reunion weekend. Our oldest daughter and her husband were visiting us from Abu Dhabi for the first time in months. Our son in law's family is spread throughout Rhode Island so we were able to meet up with them in Narragansett and Providence AND enjoy the well-appointed kitchen to prepare and enjoy family meals. The house is well equipped and spacious both inside and out. High ceilings and open floor plan, as well as a spacious deck and sloping lawn to the dock, provided all of us with enough space to both gather and be alone. It truly is a special home. There were special touches, too, such as a welcome basket to fire up the Keurig and information about the history of the house. James and Kathleen were accommodating and accessible throughout. We would love to return. Thank you for providing us with the perfect setting for our family reunion.

Lovely Week with Friends

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely house and a great vacation. We stayed with a few families with young children and worked great. The house was very accommodating to a lot of people and comfortable all around. The large main room is a pleasure to just relax in and throwing food on the grill made for easy meals. Having a washer dryer was also very convenient.

We took day trips to local beaches (be sure to bring your own beach towels), a day trip to Block Island, local bike rides, explored Stonington center and spent time on the dock on the river in the back yard of the house. The backyard did have a lot of bugs (I think just related to the weather), and our group did come across a bee hive which accidentally resulted with some stings. However, the owners were very responsive to emails and noted they have already removed the bee hive. The owners were also very helpful before the trip responding to emails and explaining the details of the house.

It was a great vacation!

Lovely, quiet spot right on the river

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful spot right on the Pawcatuck River surrounded by quiet woods with a lovely deck to enjoy it all on. We loved kayaking around the wetlands of Barn Island, over to Sandy Point and Napatree all from the substantial, well built dock. The house was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with a wonderful large open living/dining area for our group of 8 to enjoy lots of together time. 4 good sized bedrooms gave everyone a private place to sleep. The large lawn was a great spot for games. The owners were considerate and helpful. We would certainly recommend this spot and look forward to staying there again. PS be sure to follow Jim's directions rather than just GPS to end up in the correct spot!
