About Brett Lesko

Hello! We are the Lesko brothers, we own and operate this property together and have lived in Colorado Springs on and off for 20 years. We grew up in the area and have watched Colorado Springs grow over the years in to what it is today. We are very outdoorsy people and really like the proximity of the house to some of the areas best attractions like Garden of The Gods and Pikes Peak.

Brett Lesko purchased this house in 2015

Why Brett Lesko chose Old Colorado City

Having lived in Colorado Springs over the years, one area we have particularly enjoyed is Old Colorado City. It is a quite neighborhood with many older and historic houses and buildings and has a wonderful charm to it.

What makes this house unique

The house is very warm and inviting and will make you feel right at home the moment you step inside. The back yard hosts a tall wooden privacy fence, tall mature trees, and comfortable patio furniture to unwind on after a long day enjoying the attractions of the area. Some of the most popular attractions are only minutes away, including scenic Garden of The Gods, Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak, The Air Force Academy, The Broadmoor, and many beautiful parks and hiking trails.

This was our 2nd year to stay at this house and we loved it both times ! Brett is easy to get ahold of and the house is wonderful! Very updated and plenty of room ! The weather was wonderful and the garage was great. We parked our truck, motorcycle trailer and motercycles all in the garage.

Great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

This house was a fantastic base for a family long weekend in the Colorado Springs area. Location is excellent - beautiful neighborhood close to Old Colorado City, with good restaurants and grocery store close by. Also good location for getting out to Cripple Creek and North Pole and Garden of the Gods - which were all huge hits with our 3 and 5 year old kiddos. The house itself was definitely a star of the trip as well. Very nicely remodeled, and impressive attention to detail from the hosts. We had everything we needed, and there was an abundance of little extra things that made things more fun (games, balls, well-stocked pantry, plenty of high quality kitchen utensils etc). Super-easy check-in and great communication with hosts. Ping pong table and well-fenced (and nicely maintained) front and back yards were great for us, as was the large outdoor dining table. We had read a couple of reviews that mentioned the house being warm, but we had no problems (even on a hot weekend), since there is a nice new portable refrigerated air conditioner in the upstairs area, as well as one in the main bedroom. Everything was nice and cool. No negatives, and everyone wants to come back to this house as soon as we can!

Great location, nicely uipgraded and decorated

  • 4 of 5

We had to visit the Springs for a family wedding and decided to make a 4 day weekend out of it. The house we rented could not have been cleaner, and everything has been recently upgraded - SS appliances, granite counter tops, remodeled bathrooms, and is decorated very nicely. Location is good too. Very close to restaurants and shops in Old Colorado City, grocery store just blocks away, downtown Colorado Springs also very nearby. The price is very reasonable.

My wife and I stayed there with my wife's sister and brother-in-law and we had a great time and could not have been happier with the accommodations. Ping pong table is a great idea as well.

If I had any constructive criticism for the owner, and it's minor, the floor standing AC unit in the dining area is a bit noisy - ie had to turn the volume up on the TV in the living room pretty loud to hear it. The basement bedroom could use an AC unit - luckily the weather was never very hot while we were there, but even at that the basement BR got a little warm. There is a floor standing fan, which would have helped, except my sister-in-law REQUIRES a fan to sleep, so we allowed here to take it to the upstairs bedroom.

If we returned to Colorado Springs we would definitely consider renting this unit again.

Could not have hoped for a better home away from home! We were a family of four. My husband and I and two teenagers and we all said it was our favorite vacation! After exploring the area all day we would come back and play ping pong and some of the board games that were there at the home. We even came home one afternoon to a deer eating apples in the back yard! Being from Florida we got quite a kick out of that. Beautifully updated home equipped with everything you may need and more. Highly recommend!
