The villa (145m2) consists of 3 bedrooms - 1 en suite, a living room with dining room area, a large kitchen with breakfast area and a terrace with barbecue.

This year was completely renovated, new appliances and new fireplace installed.

The property offers a stunning view of the Atlantic Coast, from Almoçageme to Peniche (35 miles away north), from the outside terrace, the living-room and the upper bedroom.

The one hectare plot is surrounded mainly by agricultural farms, allowing walks inside the property in a very quiet landscape.

Lovely neighbourhood, around the house and the area

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful environment around the house, the beaches, Sintra and Lisboa.

Disappointing stay.

Travelling: family of 2 adults and 2 children, 13 and 10.

The good points: spacious, clean and kitchen well equipped.

The bad points: firstly, there was an awful smell from the drains in the house. We had hoped to enjoy the gardens and outside space, however, the only chairs available other than tiny wooden bistro style chairs were deck chairs - so uncomfortable! We were there during a heat wave, and it was extremely hot at night, we found an old desk top fan in the house which we used and asked the owner for another one for each bedroom, unfortunately, none were forthcoming. She advised us to use what I thought was a toy fan - no bigger than 2’’ across which was wholly inadequate. We had to leave the house for 2 nights and check into a hotel in order to sleep! There were no mosquito nets, so windows had to be closed each night as we suffered many bites on the first night with the windows open. The curtains at the windows could not really be pulled open, so views not appreciated. No TV or radio (these may have been absent in the property description to be fair although rather unusual) although plenty of DVDs and CDs on shelves, thank goodness we took a pack of cards to keep us amused. The drive-way shown in the photos is not actually accessible. You have to park outside the property on a very narrow road, as close to a wall as you dare. All in all, sadly, this was not a comfortable stay for us.

Grandioser Ausblick, tolles Haus, viele Unternehmungen möglich

Wir (2 Erwachsene) haben uns hier für die 2 gebuchten Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt und hätten es auch noch länger genießen können. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und liebevoll eingerichtet. Ausblick, Lage und auch das etwas verwilderte Grundstück sind klasse.

Sintra, Cascais, Lissabon und wunderbare Strände sind sehr schnell und gut zu erreichen (wenn man ein Auto hat).

Die Hausverwalterin war ausgesprochen nett und unkompliziert. Dass zwischendurch einmal geputzt wurde hat uns zusätzlich gefreut.

Alles in Allem ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub.

Villa originale et bien située

Très bon séjour d'une semaine ( 6 adultes ) : Malgré les difficultés pour se garer devant la Villa, nous avons apprécié l'accueil, l'espace et l'agencement original des pièces, l'équipement complet, la propreté du lieu et la situation par rapport aux nombreuses visites possibles.

Schönes Haus in schöner Lage

Sehr gemütliches Haus m. vielen Zimmern. Bei kühleren Temperaturen muss mit Kamin und Elektroheizung geheizt werden, damit es gemütlich warm ist.

Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra, it provides easy access to gorgeous walks in forest and the coastal areas, starting at a walking distance : Convento dos Capuchos, Monserrate, Peninha, Adraga, Cabo da Roca, Guincho, Praia das Maças and Praia Grande. Nature lovers will love the place but may still, if they wish, keep in touch with the animation of the sea shore less than two-mile away, bike or car distance.

The nearest village of Almoçageme is a 10 minute walk, here you find a rustic village with all of the typical narrowed streets, coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Every morning from Tuesday to Saturday there’s a fishmonger and every Thursday morning a farmer’s market. On Saturdays and Sundays a street market open all day.

The village is spread up the hill from the Atlantic Ocean. Adraga beach, was ranked as one of the 20 perfect European beaches’ by the Sunday Times.

Only few minutes away you have famous beaches like Praia das Maçãs, Praia Grande and

these villages are situated amongst pleasant woods in the heart of Sintra Cascais Natural Park, surrounded by a natural reserve park.

Colares is situated on the southwest side of Sintra on the Atlantic coast.

The village is absolutely delightful and has long been a very popular summer resort.

Colares is a wine region (DOC), the ramisco vines are some of the oldest in Portugal, known for its deep colour, full bodied red wines that are high in astringent tannins and can be tasted at the Adega Regional in a very beautiful building in the village.

The houses and imposing farms all around Colares affirm this wonderful relation with wine and its production.

Go inland and enjoy the wonderful scenery and rural lifestyle in villages nearby

Colares has mild winters, an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot, the autumn is ideal too, is like a second spring.

Cabo da Roca is the most westerly point in Europe and has magnificent views, is nearby. The coast to the north of Cabo da Roca has dramatic cliffs interspersed with rocky beaches and the natural environment is still absolutely unspoiled.

Estoril and Cascais coast is at within easy reach.

Guincho beach with its large dunes exposed to the wind and waves of the east coast. It is a major venue in both the European and the World Surfing and Windsurfing Championships.

There are many excellent fish and seafood restaurants nearby.
