Why 2 bedrooms for the price of 1? - - Because our rates are similar to 1-bedroom rates. For personal and also comfort reasons we offer our unit only up to 3 guests, with the option for a temporary 4th guest to stay (please see further below).
This luxurious, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1,131 sq ft corner unit on the 37th floor of the Discovery Bay condominium complex is fully furnished with a very large 380 sq ft living room. The lanai (Hawaiian term for balcony) is integrated into the living room, but since you can slide open 14 ft of the 20 ft windows you still have the outdoor feeling.
We use the 2nd bedroom mainly as a little office and occasional guest room. As the photos show, this room does not have a solid wall and door but has 4 sliding glass doors, which usually are open in order to be able to see the city skyline from the living room. However, by closing the sliding doors and the vertical blinds you create a separate room, but it is of course not equivalent to a proper second bedroom.
This room has a new and more comfortable full size and longer sleeper sofa (77”x 55”), which is placed parallel to the back wall. Due to lack of space on either end a 4th person, sleeping on the “wall side” could feel a bit “trapped” between the wall and the sleeping partner.
Due to the integrated lanai this apartment is for safety reasons not suitable for small children, since they easily can climb up the railing.
You will be able to enjoy spectacular 220-degree ocean and city views.
Apart from watching the daily harbor and ocean activities you also will be able to enjoy the Hilton Hawaiian Village’s famous Fireworks show every Friday night.
Discovery Bay is classified as a luxury condominium building and is one of the very few with ocean view (all others are hotels) and additionally is conveniently located between Waikiki and the Ala Moana Shopping Center and also within walking distance to several beaches including the Hilton Lagoon and Ala Moana Park. Also several city bus lines stop right in front of the building.
Building amenities include keyed entrance only to registered tenants, 24 hour security monitored by in-house security guards.
The By-laws of Discovery Bay stipulate a minimum rental period of 29 nights/30 days, but even if you can stay only 2 or 3 weeks please consider the convenience, luxury, space, view and cost compared to a few hotels with similar view rooms (and they are few) but with a lot less space (example the Ilikai and the Modern). Please also note that the average daily rental price shown on the first page is an average price over several months and might not correspond with the daily price for individual months.
