2 Bedroom, Full Bath Cottage With Spectacular Sunrises Ideal For Couples/Family
About Susan Palmer
Both my wife & I were born and raised in Kenora and when we got the opportunity to move back to the area, we searched for lake front property where we found our little piece of paradise on peaceful Black Sturgeon Lake. We first built the two bedroom cottage in 2000 where we lived until the main home was built in 2008. We had many happy years living in our cottage loft and it is our hope others will enjoy it as much as we have.
Susan Palmer purchased this Cottage in 2000

Home away from home, very clean and comfortable beds!
The cottage is easy to locate. The owners have thought of everything when stocking this "home away from home". We flew in with carry on and only had to pick up our main grocery items ... everyday items were there waiting for us! Very clean, comfortable beds! Kenora with all of its beautiful hiking trails is gorgeous this time of year (September 2019). Thanks from London, Ontario
It was an awesome time for my husband and his two buddies! They loved everything about their stay! Thank you! Highly recommend!
Wonderful cottage close to Kenora and the TransCanada.
Spotless, modern, everything you need provided. Great views of the lake. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to try out the kayaks on the lake but we enjoyed the decks and bbq.
Easy access using the directions provided. Good Bell satellite tv. Good Wi-Fi. My Rogers phone stayed connected. The propane fireplace kept up warm.
Good communication with Susan, the host.
We used the cottage as a hub to explore the region and to drive the Winnipeg for our return flight. We had arrived from the Thunder Bay area by car.
Peaceful corner of Cdn wilderness
We had a great week getting away from the city in this lovely corner of Black Sturgeon Lake. We loved swimming in the clear lake, used the canoe for a paddle and sunned on the spacious docks. The stairs were plentiful and I can see might deter a very young family but worth it in terms of view and lake access. Susan has a spotless, well appointed space. It was a bonus for us to have all linens supplied and laundry in the unit. We would certainly return.
Cute, cozy, and clean!
The cabin was exceptionally clean and had all the essentials that we needed for the week. Even though Susan lived right next door, she gave us our privacy, but we knew she was there if we needed anything. It was so nice not to have to bring our own linens and towels. Our kids had so much fun at the dock enjoying the beautiful clean water. We also enjoyed spending some nights around the fire at the newly built deck overlooking the lake. This property comes highly recommended and I can honestly say it’s the cleanest space we’ve ever travelled to.
My stay at the cottage by the lake
My stay at the cottage was a very good experience. The cottage was beautiful, everything was in order, our hosts thought of everything we might need. I highly recommend this location.
