Amazing house, well equipped and lovely hosts!
A group of ten of us stayed here over Easter and we had a great time. The house is spacious, well equipped, warm and was a real delight. Maggie was very helpful and made us feel welcome. Thoroughly recommend a stay here!
Really pleasant stay.
We stayed for three days, meeting up with family. The accommodation was lovely, tidy and clean, and towels and basic provisions were provided. We visited the local distillery, the mountain bike tracks and also Aviemore a few times. There was a nearby open space to walk the family dog. A lovely place to stay with family.
The cottage is situated close to The Glenlivet Whisky Distillery, and is therefore on The Malt Whisky Trail. The Speyside Way hiking trail also passes the garden. The new Glenlivet Cycle Trails are nearby, and there are a wealth of other activities available in The Cairngorm National Park including skiing in the winter. The cottage is also within The Glenlivet Estate, in the grounds of Glenlivet House. The Estate Office in Tomintoul (the highest village in the Cairngorms) is 15 mins drive away, and provides full details of things to do. There are also numerous places of interest nearby, including Ballindalloch Castle, and Balmoral - the Queens summer residence. The sea (the Moray Firth) is an hours drive, and the famous River Spey (salmon fishing) is close by. There are good restaurants and shops all within half an hours drive, and the local Croft Inn is 5 mins by car.
