The home has a state of the art kitchen, all modern amenities, and sleeps 9, with every person in a bed. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and a detatched recreation room with pool table. The property has a large dock that parks two boats, 5 sea kayaks, and is perfect for famiiles who enjoy an adventure on the water. Old Florida Heaven on Earth!

  • 5 of 5

This home on cabbage key is the very best place, in the most beautiful location, I've ever stayed. It's completely private, and only a short walk to the Cabbage Key restaurant and bar where Jimmy Buffett wrote the song "Cheeseburgers in Paradise". Jimmy Buffett was right there's no better place to stay on any of the islands in the area than this place.

We came on two boats, one for offshore fishing and one for inshore. The fishing all around is amazing for redfish, snook, tarpon, trout and grouper.

The house has huge wrap around porches all around with ceiling fans, comfortable seating and amazing views all around. Inside its spacious, and beautiful with custom carved wood doors, beautiful wood floors, ceilings, and luxurious comfortable furniture with an old Florida kind of feel. We brought a chef with us who loved the huge kitchen inside and out! The beds were incredibly comfortable, bathrooms were perfect, and balconies from each room were amazing. There's a balcony way up on the third floor where we had drinks while watching dolphins each night and even a separate building with a pool table in the garden by the water.

There were kayaks for us to use as well and the uninhabited beaches of Cayo Casta island make this location perfect to explore that natural paradise as well, in complete privacy.

I've stayed in a lot of nice places all over the world and this is my new favorite place. If you're looking for a subtropical get away on the water with comfort, privacy and the feeling of what the best of Florida was like before the crowds, you've found it.

We'll be coming back as often as we can and you will too.

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Cannot say enough about this house. The pictures do not do it justice. Had a wonderful stay. Fishing off the dock, walking to cabbage key inn, day trips to Boca Grande and Cayo Costa- both kids and adults had a great time. We rented a boat which is key since island is a bit remote.

The house is clean and well stocked with everything you might need for a family vacation. Amazing views. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact. Look forward to going back!

Fantastic Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

A great time was had by all of us on Spring Break at Cabbage Key. The house is much better than the photos suggest and there is something for everyone. We rented a boat and had a great time Island hopping to Captiva, North Captiva and Cayo Costa. A special thank you to the owner who answered all of our questions and pointed us to great places in the area and was a real pleasure with whom to work.We can't wait to go back to the Key!

Island Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

To cut to the chase, this place is paradise! This is island living at its BEST. Accessible only by boat, your journey to Cabbage Key begins on the mainland at Pineland Marina and any stress you’ve carried with you stays there! Wave goodbye to it as you head to the island...

The house is gorgeous and so well-appointed with everything you need for a great stay. Even the beds and linens are top notch (which I don’t typically find in vacation spots). The wrap-around porch is screened and a great spot for reading, eating breakfast, and watching boats traveling the intercostal. The grounds are secluded and tropical with bougainvillea, palms, and orchids growing in the trees. Seriously, paradise.

My family and I have been here 2 times and both times were spectacular. My wife and I love sitting on the dock in the morning with our coffee and again in the afternoon for the sunset watching as dolphin swim all around. We were originally concerned our boys (10 and 7yrs) would get bored but they loved playing pool in the game room, exploring the island, climbing the water tower, playing basketball, and taking our banana peels to the tortoise at the Cabbage Key Restaurant (which has great food and is a lot of fun!). As a family, we’ve loved exploring the surrounding islands using the sea kayaks and little whaler.

All in all, I can’t say enough good things about this place where we reconnect as a family. We will certainly will be back with friends!
