The cabin was very nice on the inside. The outside and the landscape needs a little work. Hottub and jacuzzi were great. Cabin was saved from the fires but there were burned cabins everywhere in the area. Parking at the cabin was difficult.

Very cozy

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Cherokee lodge.. The picture of the view does no justice to what you see in person. I can't wait to go back next year, we hated to leave. Only thing I wish the pull out sleeper was more comfortable but the kids just slept on the couch and the was happy with it. Never saw any wild life which was fine with me. We was very pleased with the cabin. The owner was always helpful and would always reply back within minutes. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The views are amazing.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed this property and it was perfect for a quick getaway. The views were amazing and yes there are views of properties completely damaged from the fires but we didn't mind it as 1) it was a reminder of why staying here would help bring revenue to the area and 2) it was more peaceful at night with fewer cabins in the area. We would definitely stay here again. This place gets my vote.

Beautiful cabin. Clean. Well equipped. Beautiful views and quiet location. The owner was great!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four includes two teens. We enjoyed a 7 night stay. The owner was easy to work with and got back to us quickly when we had questions. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and homey. The views were gorgeous. The cabin is nestled in a quiet crook of the mountain, near the summit. You travel up a perfect, winding, mountain road to get there. We are from Michigan and found no problems traversing the mountain roads in both sun and storms. We did tend to wait for the fog to lift on heavy fog mornings. But, what an experience to sit on the deck in the clouds, in the fog!

We ate in most evenings, due to food allergies. We found the kitchen to be well equipped with everything we needed. The oven, stove, dishwasher, toaster, fridge and microwave were all used and worked very well. There were plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and even a much needed potato peeler!

Previous posters didn't enjoy the beds. Our family found no complaints with them. They do have soft mattresses. I think everyone has their own mattress preferences. The towels were full and fluffy. The sheets and blankets were luxuriously soft, and clean. The upstairs bed does squeak. We did hear our children as they rolled over up there. But, that is the rub of the rustic wood bed frame and part of the charm and ambiance.

The location was great. We spent several days exploring the nearby National Park, The Biltmore, and Dollywood. You can hear the Dollywood Train whistle in the distance, from the cabin decks. We enjoyed a few evening shows in nearby Pigeon Forge. We unwound in the evenings in the hot tub, playing pool, shuffleboard, playing games, and watching movies. We saw raccoons and a very large bear below our deck!

This cabin provided a fun and relaxing family vacation filled with great memories. We hated to leave. We would rent this cabin, from this easy to work with owner, again. Thank you for such a great stay!!
