You’ll feel at home the second you walk into our Coral Reef Holiday Rental Apartment. That’s because we've gone all out to make Coral Reef just that—more of a home than a holiday rental apartment.
As you can see, the apartment has a plush, modern Mediterranean style. The open floor plan, private hot tub, and partial ocean-view terraces create an airy, relaxed feel that’s perfect for kicking back after exploring La Cala de Mijas and the rest of the Costa del Sol. When you’re ready to venture out, you’ll find 28,000 square meters of tropical gardens and two expansive saltwater pools in the complex. It’s quite possible to spend the entire day with the pool or the gardens to yourself.
'Coral Reef' Holiday Rental Apartment is stocked with many amenities that other apartments lack. Look in the kitchen cupboards and you’ll find everything you need to cook a mouthwatering dinner (we even have a juicer and a bread maker). We also offer two complimentary bicycles, so you can be at one of the nearby beaches, restaurants, or markets in a matter of minutes. For families with young children, we have plenty of equipment to make your stay easier, including a stroller, a baby monitor, and extra bottles.
'Coral Reef' self catering holiday rental apartment has three bedrooms: one master suite with a queen-size bed (double), one guest room with two queen-size bunk beds, and a daybed on the terrace that sleeps two. The terrace converts into a fully-enclosed room with air conditioning, blackout curtains, and a foldaway glass covering. The master bathroom includes a double sink, a bathtub, and a shower. The shared bathroom has a mosaic tile shower and Italian marble countertops and walls.

My name is Sophie and I was born and raised outside of Stockholm, Sweden. I love riding horses, traveling, and exploring. My Norwegian husband and I currently reside in Washington, US, and fly back home to Europe at least a couple of times per year.

Why Sophie Idh chose Mijas
When we were looking for a home to purchase in Costa del Sol, we searched all the cities, up and down the coast. When we found La Cala de Mijas it was no longer a question of what town to buy in, but what apartment complex to call our home. We quickly found Oasis Cala de Mijas, which is a high quality, low quantity complex, built with care and consideration. Only 30% of the property is built upon, leaving 28,000 square meters of well kept sub-tropical gardens, including 2 saltwater pools. Our two apartments are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor, both accessible via an elevator. The entire complex is handicap accessible, and ideal for families traveling with children. You do not need a car while staying here, as you can walk from the apartment to just about everything, including the beach, bars, golf, restaurants, retails stores and more.
What makes this Apartment unique
We love the architecture in our complex, with traditional Spanish style, combined with a modern look. Italian marble is all around, and the layout flows seamlessly from one room to another. We have included all the features that you would expect to find in your neighbor's home, so it is not just another holiday rental. Fully Equipped flat 10 minutes walk away from the beach.
We are family with two small kids. We found the flat very well equipped for our stay unlike some self catering properties. This one even had plastic cutlery and crockery for our infant.
There is everything you need in the flat including PS4 for older kids and table games for the whole family. Jacuzzi was a hit too.

A wonderful first encounter with Andalucia
We stayed at the Sandy Beach Apartment two weeks in October 2016. We liked everything about this apartment and really found nothing to complain about. The equipment of the apartment was much more than we could expect; we had everything we needed to live and a lot more. The manager, Jane, was very kind and competent. The apartment is located in a development with landscaped communal gardens and two swimming pools, everything generous and beautiful. The beaches, the shops, the village center and a lot of restaurants are all within walking distance. The easy access to the garage, where we could park our rental car, was very convenient. We made day trips to the Nerja caves, to Ronda, to Granada, to Mijas Pueblo, to Gibraltar and Tarifa, where we went for whale watching. These trips gave us just an idea of the beauty of Andalucia. We intend to come again and to see more of this fascinating county. And we hope very much that “our” apartment will be available then for our next stay.

Nice apartment. Wonderful communication about how to get there and wonderful local manager who checked us in and checked us out. The apartment is comfortable. The beach is close by... between Malaga and Marbella.

We all loved this apartment in April 2016 going back in June 2016 .it' has everything you need and more .the beds are so comfortable. The grounds and pool are really nice and all well kept ..you are walking distance from the beach .supermarket on your door step .Jane hill couldn't do enough for us .I would recommend this apartment to everyone .

Lovely property, very well equipped
Four of us stayed there for an early April week, and we were well pleased. I think this is the nicest property we've ever stayed in for that price. It's new, clean, well maintained, owned by Scandinavians who obviously take pride in what they offer to their guests, and the description matches the reality. If you want to cook there's every utensil, and the WiFi is a through proper ADSL connection.
It works best as a two-bedroom apartment, as it says in the description the third bedroom is a glassed-in veranda with curtains, but our son enjoyed sleeping there much better than sharing a bedroom with his sister.
The location is great, Cala de Mijas is lively, the beach is awesome, and the 15-minute walk to it is not a problem. Shopping is easy since there's a well-stocked Lidl just 3 mins walk away.
We enjoyed the stay very much, and would not hesitate to book it up again.
There are so many facilities in the local area that you will never run out of things to do, with or without a car. La Cala de Mijas still has that small town charm and feel, yet the sophistication and amenities of a modern city. Every Wednesday and Saturday you can walk to the local market, where you can purchase anything from fresh produce, to clothing, jewelry, and everything in between. There are Irish Bars, English Bars and Spanish Bars, all within a few blocks of each other. You will find restaurants and retail stores up and down the narrow, cobble stone streets. A 10 minute walk will take you to an amazing beach, with miles of the Costa del Sol’s finest sand. A pirate ship playground is located along the beach walk promenade, and it is a big hit with the kids, when they need a break from the ocean. Two modern grocery stores are within easy walking distance of home. Take either public transportation or a car for a 10 minute drive to the enormous local shopping mall, Parque Miramar
Golf: The apartment is situated in the Golf Valley, with 9 excellent courses, including The famous La Cala Golf, Mijas Golf, Mira Flores Golf, La Siesta Golf, La Noria Golf, Santana Golf, Calanova Golf, and El Chapatral Club de Golf.
