About Vacasa of Texas

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Ok

 • 3 of 5

The house was nice and quiet. Great watching deer in the mornings. Gate opened going in, but not out. Someone had to squeeze through to get to other side to push in keypad numbers. Bathroom was too hot. No air in there. Had kitchen things, but needed a sharper knife to cut food. Sofa bed was loud/squeaky and flat.
When we tried to leave 1st time to go grocery shop and gate didn’t open, I called the number given and had to leave a message. Nobody ever returned my call. Glad we figured out how to get out.
Was a nice place outside of town. We would return, but w a few things from home to help the trip be more comfortable.

Owner's Response: We apologize for issues this guest encountered, and we are very sorry nobody appeared to have returned this guest's phone call. The gate works just fine, and we have added some instructions to clarify how to use it. There is a hotel style wall mounted A/C to cool the unit located just outside the bathroom, and if guests leave the bathroom open when not in use, it does help cool it down. Thank you!

Felt like home

Great location and very convenient to Main St of Fredricksburg. House was clean and well set up. Wife and I felt as if we were coming home. Only suggestion is have it cooled off for your renters arrival.

Great weekend getaway

We had a great stay! The cottage is a quick drive from Main Street, but it's far enough away to let you enjoy quiet, peaceful evenings. We will definitely be back!

Great location just north of historic Fredericksburg.

We traveled to Fredericksburg to work on our in-town property. This HomeAway studio perfectly met our needs for the week. Very comfortable and relaxing after a long day of physically demanding work. The only drawback to this property is the kitchen...no stove/oven and a very small refrigerator. But, we shopped daily for our meals at the local Walmart and bought a skillet to cook our meals each evening. Also, the property is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker which didn't meet our morning needs. So, we bought an inexpensive 12 cup coffee maker to ensure we had plenty of coffee available to start our day. The Vacasa representative, Jasmine, was excellent! She even checked in with us during our stay to ensure all was going well...even sent housekeeping out with fresh towels which we needed halfway through our week. A few suggestions I would encourage the owners to consider: 1) Provide a matched set of dishes and glasses in the unit; 2) Improve the kitchen with some small appliances to facilitate meal preparation by longer-term renters; 3) Replace the fabric shower curtain liner with a vinyl liner to prevent saturation and leaks; 4) Provide hangers in the closet...we bought our own and left them for future tenants; 5) Provide tenants with a remote to open the gate when leaving the property; and, 6) Provide a dustpan for the broom and a small vacuum cleaner to permit floor cleaning. There is a Laundromat just a few minutes down Route 16 toward town that we used to wash our workclothes. We truly enjoyed sitting out on the deck most evenings and enjoying the cool Hill Country breezes after a hot workday. We highly recommend this property to other HomeAway members.
