Downstream from Wildcat Shoals, best fishing on White River. Spectacular views
About Donna Cordonnier
My husband and I lived in St. Louis and he had been coming down to the White River to trout fish for over 50 years. We were staying at a lodge here in 2009 when we spotted a for sale sign on a very new house that happened to be on the banks of his all time favorite spot on Wildcat Shoals. We took one look and decided to buy it. It has been heaven to live here. We both love the outdoors and I also love hiking, kayaking ,walking, and golf. If you want to do any of these other activities while you are here just ask me and I will help .
Donna Cordonnier purchased this Guest House in 2009
Why Donna Cordonnier chose Cotter
We chose this house primarily because, in our opinion, it sits on the banks of the best trout fishing shoals in all of the White River. What made it irresistible was that there are no properties across the river from us and never will be. It is a duplex with a complete separate living quarters on lower level. There is a beautiful limestone bluff where eagles and herons fly all day long. It is quite, private and beautiful . House was built with great soundproofing and 4 feet of insulated space between levels.
What makes this Guest House unique
The unique benefit is that this is a private residence. there are two rentals here with 100 frontage feet of White river. It will be like this is your own home. This lower level is it's own apartment with separate entrance. It has beautiful views of the river and a large deck overlooking the water. There is plenty of parking space for renters cars and boats/trailers. This opened up the opportunity to rent. Another benefit is that we have the Wildcat access just 1 mile up the road. We are on a private dead end street so only those who live here are driving by. No public access for 1 mile in either direction.

Great location and the guesthouse was extremely comfortable. Everything we needed for our weekend .
Despite our Sunday being a complete wash out with rain, my husband and sons were still able to enjoy fishing. While I enjoyed sitting by a fire and reading.
We can’t wait to come back again.
It was very enjoyable. The apartment was roomy and the deck wonderful to sit out on
Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. It was beautiful to look out on the river. Very relaxing.
Love this place!!!
Incredible as always. This was our 7 week long stay at this property.
All time FAVORITE
We normally stay at Gastons. But never again. Hands down best place ever. Loved that boat rental is literally in walking distance. Huge bonus. We will be back. Hopefully, for a week next time. Donna was extremely helpful too. Very thankful to find this place. Blessings to you Donna!
We felt at home and really appreciated the owner making us feel that way!
Thanks Bob. I love to see three generations of a family come and stay and fish together. What a great family
Beautiful place to stay!
Donna is a great hostess, you will want for nothing! The unit is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Gorgeous view, right on the river. The few times we had a question, Donna replied immediately. We would definitely go back!
